For the most part I watch dubbed anime versions mostly cos I'm too lazy to read subs lol But most time English dubs really come out good off recent

@@OnenessAwareness Nah won't say that. Love Japanese, the sound and emotion it conveys. Started watching animes in Japanese, then for some reason I noticed that the videos came preloaded with both English and Japanese voicing, so I occasionally switched between English and Japanese - at times I'd watch the same scene in both English and Japanese to get the feel of both. For the most part I was ok with either Japanese or English till I decided to just watch in English straight up cos I noticed the context was more relatable or explanatory compared to translation the subs provide. It's just like watching a movie in my native dialect/tongue, most times the subs don't convey the full message when translated to English so I just follow what's being said instead of reading subs. Same applies with these, only difference is I don't understand Japanese, so English does it for me. Plus reading subs can be hectic at times. But what I do is watch in English, then add the Japanese subtitles, and most times I prefer the words voiced in English since I can understand nuanced conversation and contexts better.

The VA Alexs Lee was actually born in Vietnam and came over to America only knowing 1-2 words of English, with that context that man KILLED this role

@@alicec.b.9906 Right! I know what happens since I read the manhwa but this is my all time fav so I'm not waiting for the dub. I really like the Japanese but they did so well in the dub. @@Swarthy. read the Manhwa too. Probably for the 3rd time lol. Reading Manga/Manhwa/Comics for me requires of the story to be really good cos I'm more audio visual, than relying on texts to enjoy what I'm consuming. OPM is the only Manga I'm following since it's taking way too long to animate, and I started following this Manhwa from the 8th/9th episode of the Solo Leveling animation. Just couldn't wait the following week to find out.what happened to his former colleagues/team mates in the D gate, and alas I found myself reading the whole thing lol. Think they should have released the season at once, like Netflix and other streaming or top studios release their works. On the comics side of things, mostly DC x Marvel, I may pick up Invincible

@@peluminova2515 ah sorry to break it to you, but I'm a passionate manga reader, I've already read solo leveling almost a year ago, and I've read countless other manga. But hey, it's always fun to see one of the manga(japanese)/manhwa(Korean)/manhua(Chinese) I liked or enjoyed reading get animated. Similarly with the recent Grandpa and Grandma returning to their youth or whatever the title was. It was very enjoyable and I recommend watching/reading it if you haven't already.

So what happened was during the jeju island arc was that the Japanese Hunter Association attempted to use all of the Korean S-rankers as a decoy while pretending that they are going to close the S-Rank Ant Dungeon, but all of the Japanese S-Rankers die to a single op ant (“Are you the king of humans?”) that was created from the all of the ant queen’s mana, even Goto Ryuji, who was super hyped up as one of the strongest in the world was instantly decapitated, and what comes after that is Jinwoo teleports to the island (“Wow, a talking ant?”) in the most badass way possible and absolutely demolishes the ant king, turning him into a shadow, Beru, Beru later on becomes the best uncle ever for Jinwoo’s son.

You get it, the "Okiro" sounded off in Japanese, maybe too fast worded but just not what I envisioned when I read the Manhwa. The VA did a good job with JSW, I try switching between Sub and Dubbed voicing, but of recent I'm content with the dubbed version since I want to see the other aspects of the anime (focusing on the subs makes me miss out on some details), and I get a deeper context when listening in English compared to the Japanese version.

As much as sub is calm most times , this is the one anime where watching it sub doesn’t even make sense, cause the original source material is in Korean, so watching something that was originally Korean in Japanese voice only to end up reading the subtitles whilst also keeping in mind that some honourifics like -San are not even accurate due to the fact that Koreans don’t even use those just gets confusing. If it was in Korean then fair enough but in this case Japanese is probably less accurate than the English version

@@Speo_ Fair point. Reading the Manhwa, honorifics like Opppa, Noona, and Hyung'nim were used which put an interesting spin as opposed to reading san, and Sama. I could relate to the context of how they were used coss i used to watch Korean dramas back in the day.
