We were very delighted to track down a traditional Foochow Kompia baker within the state of Selangor (without breaking the interstate travel ban). The owner Mr Teng is such an energetic character and his skills handling the oven was simply a joy to watch. During the shoot, we also met a Foochow family from Sitiwan and had a quick exchange of our different Foochow accents.
