@@igiveup1now it’s unprecedented because they used to have to forgo all sponsorship profit from their Olympic (aka profitable) years. I think now that the NCAA has change those rules will see a lot more Olympic gymnast competing in college
@@penelopejane5285 eh, I disagree. I'm aware of the rule change. But jordan, jade, and grace committed before that. It's just happenstance. It will make for an interesting season, but I doubt it'll happen again. Idk that anyone but suni could pull in enough in sponsorships to justify skipping college anyways. Maybe Jordan, because she's the Laurie Hernandez of their Olympic team
@@igiveup1now You don’t know in advance the total sponsors you will receive. But it used to only take one single payment to make you in eligible for college… Also this Olympic team was relatively old. Usually they aren’t of age to immediately start college. But I think in general now you’ll see more gymnasts competing in college
That save on the second pass, yas! Also that double lay looks much better height wise (ofc there's the leg separation but this weeks looked a lot more comfortable). Great AA debut!!!!
Wow Her choreography was so imaginative, in tempo and interpretive of the music. She could teach some of the Olympic figure skaters a thing or two. It goes without saying she's technically right on as well.
Asian kids don't live normal life in US school; they need to excel among normal kid, work harder , train harder, and study harder than anyone else. US is a country that is white preferential. Any other color is considered second class citizen by most white. Especially in the police sector. Recently saw a video of two teen fighting, white teen was let off while the poor black teen was push down handcuff and taken away by white police officer.
She's the current Olympic AA champion. Wouldn't these meets be like child's play to someone on her level? I feel like she's gonna dominate whatever collegiate competitions she goes to. Who else can get first place over her?
@@GymnasticsWorldWide But I meant like, going to regional college competitions, unless she runs into another Olympian or Worlds gymnast, she will probably take all the 1st places (assuming she keeps up with the training)

Konnor McClane & Shilese Jones….. You two girls are my top 2 in the 2024 Olympics. I’ll be here watching you 2 until u both get on the 2024 Olympic team. I will be rooting for you both. You’re my top two current gymnasts.‼️💯✅
I decided to check out this video, following I encountered her in LA Region. It’s very good,to see this OG Medalist performance But too bad, because of Injuries she was not competing(3 days ago)and Auburn(Alongside Southern Utah)eliminated from Round 2.Sad part, she was the only person that I met(And not with whole team). And for spectators(In LA),decent but not as much in this video and Regional Final
Do gym events have crowds like this in college? Wasn't expecting that many students to be there, but maybe it's just this event since she's kinda famous
Thanks for pointing that out. I'm not sure yet, but I think I like routine better without it. Did she just do another dance element to replace it here?
Perfect solid landing 👌 👏 and some cynical Asian haters told her to go back her country in the southern California when she visited there with her friends. America 🇺🇸 is her home 🏡!
This makes me so happy to see! I feel like everyone wins when elite gymnasts compete at a college level. The college competitions get more attention, the college-level athletes are able to continually push themselves, and athletes like Suni (who have spent the majority of their young lives locked away in gyms) get to have the comradery of college athletics and friendships. Suni looks so happy!!
Uh why am I not surprised? She is the reigning all around olympic champion competing at a much lower level competition. Sure she can win this with below par her olympic level skills. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4Qn49CBmd9M.html
