SUNJOE DETHATCHER AND SCARIFIER SETUP and unboxing. After I dethatched the entire yard by hand I decided never to do that again. So I researched, found and purchased the Sun Joe dethatcher and scarifier. In this video I'm putting together the Sun Joe dethatcher, all components
were inside and all that is needed to put this together is a Phillips screwdriver and a 10 mm wrench or socket and ratchet.

The screws I was sent are too big to screw into the sunjoe to connect the bottom of the handle bar. Why is that...? Anyone have this problem?

Sorry to hear that, this is the first time I’m hearing of this issue. There are holes for the screw in the rod that connects to the bottom of the SunJoe. I would make sure the rods are in the right side so the holes line up. I had to jiggle mine a little for it to line up. I hope it’s an easy fix for you. Because I do like this machine. You could also try to reach out to the company if you haven’t already.

@@GardeningwithBarchuckin Yeah, I got it figured out. I'm an idiot not realising screws kinda have to be a little bigger to do their job lol... Thanks for the reply though. Only problem I got now is the 100ft extension cord I got on the way is 14 gauge and the warning on the SunJoe says to use a 12 gauge if its over 50ft.

@@SheepEatingDuck correct, if you are using an extension cord that is 100’ long a 12 gauge extension cord should be used with the SunJoe. I hope you enjoy your scarifier/dethatcher once you get to use it. Do a couple small test passes to figure out the height setting you want to use 👍

@@GardeningwithBarchuckin Yeah, will do. I was worried I'd dig too far down with it. Gonna try to lower it when need be.
