That's I was thinking, plus I know he is trying to pick the front of the tractor up but with the bucket down the way he has it it will not go anywhere and yes I have a Kubota about his size and I have operated tractors including back hoes all my life and I an 72
A few suggestions that often work for me. Put wood under the bucket to lift the front end, then put wood under the sunk tire. Lock your rear diff. Keep your chain as short as possible to get more downward force on the back of the truck. Getting stuck sucks, but getting it back out gives a feeling of accomplishment and relief!
livefreeordie1 Very good advice. In my opinion this tractor was no where near stuck. Lock rear dif, wood under front bucket, raise front wood under sunken front tire. Ease backwards while scooping front bucket and it would have driven out. As for using chains to recover stuck tractors, trucks, or anything else is a good way to break your equipment. This can easily been seen by the hard jerking when the chain was coming tight at the end of the video. Use of a dynamic snatch line is the only way to go. Once the tractor is free change those tires. Those tires lose all traction in the least little bit of mud. Just a few days ago I watched a 25 ho Chinese tractor work circles around a 47 hp Kubota. The Kubota just slipped and slid around unable to get enough traction to lift anything with its front bucket. The little Chinese tractor rarely would spin a tire while pushing where the Kubota couldn’t go. It was all because of the tires.
I feel your pain. That happened to me the first week I owned my 3901. Luckily I have a backhoe attachment and with that and a chain pulled myself out. These are the things other channels don't show.
Good thing your truck got some good traction. I give your wife credit for using the gas pedal just right she is a pro! Thanks for sharing this video with us it was fun to watch and God bless!
Maybe I missed it, but my Kubota 3301L has a posi-track that kicks in when I push down the lever with my foot on the floorboard near the left side of my seat. I didn't really see both back wheels spinning at the same time and was wondering if you had actually engaged this when you were trying to back out? Also, might be helpful to carry along a chain and Come Along if you have gotten stuck several times. I know mine has helped me on more than one occasion. Cheers
Thanks for the video and great comments, I'm learning a lot. I have the diff lock on my backhoe and had to use it for the first time last night...never knew when it would be needed. This was a good example too.
Those commercial tires were the worse things to be put on a farm tractor. You need the full knobby AG tires and get a differential locking switch for front and rear.
Chalk another one up for kubogy. I have a bigger kubogy (a MX5200), reason---it's got bucket linkage on the loader with LOTS more piviot 170 degrees not a measlly 130 degrees (like a LA 525) , so the bucket dumps good and rolls backward a lot. As for "pry-bar action" nothing can beat a Massey-Ferguson (a 1736 with a VERY reponsive DL 125 LOADER) that rotates an astonishing 210 degrees. Luckily never had to use it for a "pry-bar" to evacuate it from being stuck--this unit loads & dumps like a dream, WAY better than my kubogy. I don't think l would ever buy another tractor without bucket-linkage but allmost did. Getting unstuck can have many variables, yours was "textbook" precission.
Hi Wes. Nice of your wife to get you out of the mess, again! If you don’t mind me saying, your wife is lovely, and it’s nice to see the lovely interaction between yourselves. You and your family take care and stay safe! Stan
Oh dear Wes! Thank heavens for your lovely WIfe's assistance! At least you got it free between ya! Is the Kubota not 4 wheel drive? The front axle didn't seem to be helping! Stay safe & well! 👍👍
Your wife looks exactly like mine but she would have kept saying, what did you do that for. Use your bucket to lift the front and diff-lock out with rear. Can also push with your bucket backwards.
Success! Total team effort! By the way, I might be mistaken, but I see bamboo growing around that area! Yikes!😱😱😱 Yank that stuff out of there as fast as you can. As you know, it'll overtake your woods in no time.
It happens you was luckey. Just a stuck tractor i liked going a long anyway i have sad life for old man get my thrills where i find them ha ha thanks for taking me god bless
I used rocks and logs to get a 40k lb dozer out of the mud just jacking it up with the blade. Packing rocks sticks and anything I could find nearby to fill in the hole with. It works 100% of the time, especially with little to no access for another vehicle. 3 for 3 so far!
LOVE YOUR CHANNEL. First your front wheels are not spinning, and thus you are not in four wheel drive. And make sure you are locking the differential when you get stuck/start spinning on the primary wheel.
Yup we've all been there eating humble pie. If we didn't have a better half there'd be a whole lot of tractors still stuck in the mud. I've lashed 2x4's to my tires to create an edge fir muddy grip.
you can always used a come along to, you had plenty of trees around . Also i don't know if it is a road that your trying to have there you know all those bigger slab " your first cut on log " you but them cross way multi layer first row flat "cut part " to the ground second row round on top of the other round and so on depending at how wet it is then use your saw dust and cover the whole thing even if you need to leave a ditch or a place for a small creek you do the bottom of the area the same way but leave it lower so water can circulate. the wood in the ground takes a good amount of time to deteriorate but you can always had more when needed i have done ot before and it does work but you got to maintain it
Boy, you did it this time. Here's a little tip. Once the treads on your drive wheels fill ip with mud, you ain't goin' anywhere with out help. It kinda looked like the bucket was too far in the mud to be of much help too.
I once gor my small family car stuck in deep sand on a constructiojn site and pulled up bushes and greenery to place under the rear wheels and up she rises!
I see a lot of videos where people have a hard time getting their tractors out using the loader in the bucket the push yourself backwards.... I must be lucky I've never had an issue yet doing it..... I'm thinking those I seen don't put enough down pressure on the loader get the tires off the ground just a whisker... Not putting enough weight on the bucket
No, I actually really like these tires. The dealer told me they were better for lifting applications like lifting logs like I do. I read somewhere that they effectively have thicker ply as well...I guess because of the large, flat treads. Either way, I like them. Only downside is traction in the mud.
Cut down a tree or dead fall not rotted, buck it to be wider than the hole your in, raise the bucket, place the log across the hole, lower the bucket on top of the log to lift the front out. Place smaller logs in the trench the wheels created, back out.
