Bought this album from Jimmy, Edison Hotel Toronto 1965. I'm Comin' Back But I Don't Know When is superb bluegrass, the best by far of Charlie Monroe's classic song. Jimmy befriended Charlie when he was on his last legs, took him to some festivals and backed him up, including Carlisle Canada early 70s. Listened to this a thousand times, never tired of it.

Strong as a m... let's just say he could yell clear across a holler and youd hear him like he was sitting next to you. He was good ! That one dittley do track was a lil weird for me but he was great and is underrated in country bluegrass history.

I used to live on the sunny side of the mountain in Tennessee, north of Knoxville, yes sir I loved The Shine. When I was in the Army & stationed in Virginia I used to take my gals to the Shenandoah Valley on dates. I loved those places and the open air Blue Grass concerts. I'll never forget them places and the wonderful hospitality, even though it's been 50 years. Y'all can keep Georgia though. I'll never go back there. I loathe Aggusta and all those messed up towns by the Army Bases.

As long as everyone remembers that all these new progressive and contemporary bluegrassers came directly from These original Bluegrass artists.Im sure the new artists know this, its how they learned it in first place, but most of their audience never heard this stuff.Thats ok ,they probably won't like it,which is good.Once Nashville gets ahold of a blue grass audience they will ruin it like most of the country music they have ruined. Keep bluegrass out of that crap.Good thing for old recordings. Not for the light hearted bluegrassers.String dusters are top notch,I have all their stuff, but if you are younger and think that is bluegrass, then you won 't like real bluegrass and thats ok keeps it out of mainstream crap!
