I love this one as well. A perfect retirement home with a few modifications like turning a guest cabin into a gym and adding a small gardening area on the upper deck.
Meeee toooo. Bigger ones look like they are too much. A 50 foot sunreef though looks and feels like a comfortable yet homey home rather than a hotel you might be forced to leave soon.
Toured this Sunreef 50 at Miami Boat Show. Been researching and touring various sail cats for several years. Definitely have fallen in love with Sunreef! Sunreef is stellar with attention to detail and the hardware is bar none! Semi-custom options are always an added bonus. If Sunreef is your favorite, this 50’ is bang for the buck - more spacious and luxurious than most of its size category. Love this Sunreef!
OMG this 50 is HUGE !!! Compared to a Knysna, Xquisit, Privilige, Leopard, Lagoon ..... all the others look like tiny camping boats, even if they are the same length. This is unbelievable.
If you did not say the size of this boat I bet most people would think it was a 60 - 65. I think the flat decks and that huge flybridge tricks the eye!!

Could easily be done in a 8 pax layout + crew cabin. Its amazing how spacious these things are... I would say she's bigger and more spacious than the 58 you all are running ;)
the new 2020 lagoon 67 is a little over 2m US$ , sunreef charges 7.3m US$ for their 80......👉 so these are prices #s for those trying to gauge cat prices.
To address any issues with the sail you have to get up on the Bimini top ... don’t like that at all. Steering is not protected during poor weather and that to sucks.
Wiley Sharp Catamaran Expert which age range and model gets you most bang for your buck... I’m seeing 1998-2003 cruisers 12m+ providing great value and not too dated in style/features. I will start looking at catamarans too from now on although never been on one. Be interested to hear or see video from people doing both or going from one to the other - differences/pros/cons...
Another great vid - thanks Wiley. Any thoughts on the helm on the flybridge being disconnected from the rest of the salon etc for a cruising couple. Quite different to say the Leopard 50 and the Bali range (I quite like the front door). Looks fantastic and I love the quality but is it too big for a couple (assuming the Leopard 50 is manageable)?

The one I’ve been waiting for! Thanks! Wait, no hot tub?!?? ;-) The deck looks to be a redwood color, not teak. Is it wood, or a new high tech solution so you don’t have to be refinishing teak constantly? I don’t want any teak. In fact, I’d like dark grey.

I come here to this video because of the long beach rental for $400/hour. What is the best time to sail this out from long beach to Catalina island. Do the rentaler need a boating license or with a sailor included in the package? We are planning to do this on 3-4 week from now.
You do suck a great job of showing boats. You are correct about the price BUT you could say stuff like "New this boat ranges from $550,000 to just under $1.1m depending on your choice of trim" or things like that. Also I am from the Midwest and if I came down and bought a 50' boat could I legally sail it out into open waters? Or do I need a permit or license? I want to buy a cat next summer. Thanks
Dick, the range on the Sunreef 50 is between $1.7M to as high as $2M. You don't need a license to operate a boat like this privately, but you will need to meet your insurance companies requirements for coverage.

hard to believe this monster is only 50 ft... the layout of this unit was designed specifically for chartering, right? very ugly. totally ruins the Sunreef charm.
Wow! If you want to sell a yacht, or even charter. Your choice of wording isn't good..What maybe simple jester, can be disastrous. *18,000 miles on it* - The owner, *SAILED the ABSOLUTE CRAP out of it* That wording would be used more towards the 20 somethings age group. If it were just all fun and games talking. But a prospective buyer, *no* No matter the age. That's a huge let down. But to some, would be wondering why after that many miles. Problems ? I can see talking like that to a teen ager... Other then my rant.. Luv the cat..
Lose the "Pano" lingo (no such word, and far from cool)....try saying "wide shot" or "panorama shot." Pano is annoying, as is whipping the camera around when going wide. When you turn.... do it slowly so we can see everything in slow motion. Thanks for the videos...just slow it down, take a deep breath and really show us the boat...where is the electrical panel, water-making, Genset, etc. You tend to like to show all the cosmetic stuff when we really know that it is the electrical (central nervous system) and mechanicals (muscular system) that make a boat special. Need more detail....please consider this feedback.
