Sunrise Bike Ride with the Aerial Bridge, return trip may freak you out? 

This is something new, its a nice area to see.

I walked that so many times when I was there! Took so many photos of the bridge the operator must’ve thought I was nuts..youngest son a mechanical engineer lol

That was AWESOME !!!! I have driven over bridges like that on a motorcycle it is unnerving the first time and the bike gets a little shaky on that metal grid. Paul you are fantastic doing these videos. Thanks for sharing your adventures

Having driven across the Mackinac Bridge several times, it's the same surface, that grate, kinda scary! Especially when you look down at the Straits and see a ship passing underneath 😮 But great view of the bridge there, thanks for the post!

The bridge tower looked like a rocket ship gantry. You guys talked about jumping over that other bridge. I was kinda hoping you were going to rocket off the Duluth bridge 😂, but on the other hand it was neat to see the view from on a motorcycle. 🍁🙂❤

Ooo, I didn’t realize that the aerial bridge was a singing bridge (at least that’s what we call metal grate bridges around here, due to the sound they make when one drives over them)! And you had a great view of the structure in your friend’s sidecar - looked like a lot of fun!

I was distracted by my freakout. 🤯

Most of the bridges over the Chicago river have that same open-grid steel surface. They raise and lower just like this bridge; most of them split in the middle but they need to be light enough to lift just like this one. Yout get used to it. So no freakout, just very interesting to see. What freaks me out is getting up at sunrise!

That looked like fun and a very interesting view looking up. Have driven over the Mackinaw bridge multiple times and have always been made very aware of the mesh like roadway, which I actually don't enjoy. Can't actually decide whether I prefer to be the driver or passenger. Either way, it is a strange feeling. But thanks for the ride.
