To mark a new year on the channel, we decided to kick things off with something a bit different from our usual content.
The BMW Z4 3.0si Coupe is a hark back to the best times of BMW. A truly engaging and visceral car to drive, it is from an era where the 'ultimate driving machine' meant just that.
In this short film we capture some of the beautiful sights and sounds associated with the Z4 Coupe, set in the stunning North York Moors National Park.

Couldn't tell you the last time I went for a blast. The alfa is on the drive bing a typical alfa and work has been busy. This was a vicarious breath of fresh air.

Ah thats a shame! Hopefully next year is a better year for it. Yes still very much enjoying mine, been using it a fair bit this year (it's pretty much my daily). I'll consider doing some kind of update video early autumn, and my plans for it going forward. Its been a while since I've had it out on the Moors!

Thanks for watching Thomas! The car is completely standard with the exception of the Z4 M wheels and the ZHP gearknob (both fitted when I bought the car) which shortens the throw of the gear changes

Which shocks and springs are you running? Looks a little lower than stock, but stance is perfect 👍

Thanks Morten! Completely standard shocks and springs on mine as far as I know, I recently changed the rear springs so I know for sure they are OEM ride height, and based on the overall rake of the car I'm assuming the fronts are too. However I do have the 18" Z4 M wheels which make the wheel arch gaps a bit smaller 👍

What exhaust and headlights do you have on your zed?

Completely standard exhaust and these are the bi-xenon headlight units, again standard on this car as they were optioned from new!

I'm not sure the standard exhaust would pop and crackle that much. Mine doesn't. Lol.

Yeah I only realised mine does it when I've stuck microphones back there though! Don't hear it in the car. The only other possibility is that the backbox has had some baffles removed but looks untouched as far as I can see!

@@FootToPedal the angel eyes are not standard either. They're smart though, and the standard lights are terrible! You'll have to do some investigating! The exhaust, again, in don't notice pops like that but the shots from the cabin sounds familiar. Easy solution, record my own vehicle and compare. Summer is coming...

@@stefanmaddock5516 That's interesting, to me the lights act and look like they are OEM? It's honestly quite difficult to tell on older cars without disassembling stuff. Yeah perhaps your exhaust will crackle a bit too!
