Burning Rubber Garage....Thanks!! Right now the water has turned Black from all the Rain washing Tannic Stained water into the Gulf. I'm fishing in water that is usually less than 2 ft. Even when it's windy you can still flip topwaters. Usually the early bite is in Dead Calm water!!

i_fish....Thanks!! This day was far from the norm!! Every where I decided to stop there were fish around!! The only way to get around is 2 know which creeks are deep enough to run thru & I stand up because the Mangroves are getting so high you need to be able to see or you could have a Head On!!

Bass Fishing with TK Heaven....Thanks!! That little cove has 2 active deep Springs but are surrounded by nasty limerock bottom. I hook so many Reds under the mouth sometimes the 4X trebles snagg the bottom!! I let the Red work himself out of the Rocks!! A while back I lost a Red in the same place & ripped the rear treble out on the Rocks!!

It's been a grind down here and I spent 10 hours on the Lagoon down here without a bite , Rain and water conditions are not looking good for us .Good to see someones catching fish, Nice looking reds for sure !

BluzGuitar Guy Fishing Antics.....Thanks!! Probably the best day in the Refuge this year!! The editing software is Cyberlink Power Director 15. It has an Easy Editor Program that is fairly fast & intuitive. Most of the videos take about an hour to produce. It came with a function that allows me to set the Cam parameters while editing which I set @ 1080p@ 60fps which corresponds to the settings on the Go Pro Hero5 Sessions which I use....Thanks 4 inquiring!!

3F with GF.....Thanks!! We've got a Pile of one & two year old Snook around this year & by next year they will be 25"+. St. Pete is a crowded place...Hernando county is about 60 miles to the North & has about 182,000 people..... not reel populated for a coastal county.
Ga Angler....Thanks!! Trying with Flies is tough!! Most of the time the water is less than 2 ft. & relatively clear....thus the Reds are reel spooky. I pole the boat to maximize stealth!!
Ozk Fishing....Thanks!! Mine is a 15'-3" Landau which was made in Missouri(No longer made) & has a tunnel 4 runnin' in Skinny water here on the Florida Gulf Coast. It's a stand up tiller with a 25 Yamaha 2 Stroke. It's capable of running in 5" of water !! Appreciate you stopping by!!
I started with a 15 HP Evinrude & switched 2 the 25 Yamaha a while back....Running a 4 Blade prop which pushes me to 29 mph @ the top end!! The 15 would do about 22 mph...so you could do reel well with the smaller motor!! I'll tell you small motors are hard to find that haven't been ragged out!!
MooMoo Outdoors....Thanks!! Snook don't get as Bigg as Stripers but are great leapers & max @ about 50 lbs. Stripers are Bulldoggs but aren't leapers + Stripers dig in for the long haul!! Glad you could stop in!!
Just Let Me Travel....Thanks!! Redfish are a Saltwater species & are not veggie eaters. Shrimp, Crabs, live bait, & what I use this time of year....TopWater Rattle Plastic Baits!! Not aware of anyone using corn it's not part of their diet!!
Josh White....Thanks!! You could from Pine Island at the Park!! It's over a mile & a half from Pine Island to the southern boundary of the Refuge & over 4 miles to where I flew from so it's quite a hike & there's 25 miles of Refuge....Good Luck!!
You don't have to go that far to catch Reds, Snook or Trout!! Once in Pine Island Bay to the east there is Higginbothem & Eagles Nest ....It's a jungle in there with lots of creeks & a pile of Mangrove passages....Good place to start....Sea Ya!!
