NASA's Sun Radio Interferometer Space Experiment, or SunRISE, will send a fleet of six toaster sized SmallSats into orbit around Earth to work together as a radio telescope studying the Sun. SunRISE will help scientists better understand space weather events that have the capacity to damage spacecraft or even pose a threat to the safety of astronauts traveling through space.
Speaker:
Jim Lux, Project Manager, SunRISE, NASA JPL
Host:
Marc Razze, Office of Communications and Education, NASA JPL
Co-host:
Chelsea Gohd, Universe Public Engagement, NASA JPL

I used to watch the Von Karmen Lecture Series religiously until it went virtual. Made sense during the pandemic but I really miss the on stage presentations

Wouldn't it actually be a month? It's tidally locked to earth so it should complete one revolution every time it orbits the earth, right?
@fokkenhotz1
@fokkenhotz1 Год назад
@@Tekker2234 no it's because it is tidally locked that the moon makes a complete revolution 1x per siderial earth year while always facing earth it rotates 1x completely : 360°days siderial Michael cremo told me over mesenge I super doubt hes wrong

I hope I explained it well enough and not confokered the big multiverse view. the moon also makes a huge dip in our spacetime fabric and ancient India and Chinese talk of a time before the moon; whereas the bible states noah lived 900 years? yes because it's was before the moon drag slowed earth down, a man revolved the sun 990x per life. the moon both slows us down in time cloaking our existence and blinding us from future light. the moons of Jupiter and Saturn are quite stable in seasons and tide cycles where there is liquid and land ie titan
