We split the regular season with Denver and swept you in the regular season last year while we just keep getting clobbered by the suns this year. I would rather deal with jokic rn. Guy acts like the Suns are a small team. No core player is shorter than 6'4. Suns big line up has given the Wolves problems when they put in KD, Nurk, and Bol Bol in (all 7 footers). Suns are one of the better rebounding teams when Nurk plays.
It's not even a big like up that gives them trouble. It's literally just when Nurkic plays. Nurkic has the strength to keep Rudy out of the paint and battle for rebounds. He also makes the offense run smoother and his screens are a huge part of that. It's not a coincidence the quarter that Rudy had his best minutes Nurkic was in foul trouble for 8+ minutes of that quarter. If the wolves are smart they will target Nurkic and foul him out. Besides that they really just have to focus on fundamental basketball and don't TO the ball. It's better to just shoot threes than TO the ball 20+ times.
This is going to be a great series. The Suns still have something to prove to the world and obviously The Wolves need to prove they can beat the Suns. Both are bringing their A games.

2024 playoffs will be the most competitive playoffs in recent history. Before, I select what games to watch based on competitiveness, now I got to watch all.
Suns can win this with defence. Just like they did in all 3 games in regular season. Offence is easy when your opponents turn the ball over alot and their best player (Ant) shoots about 30%. For Wolves to have a chance KAT has to get to another level. Also, Suns have size to match Wolves. They played Nurkic + Bol Bol + Durant sometimes and it wasnt bad.
I have seen Gobert play against the Suns for a long time now. He’s been nearly unplayable in those games. The Suns efficiency in the midrange the last several years is the worst matchup for him and the rest of this Wolves team. Ant and KAT have to play absolutely out of their minds if MIN wants to get out of this round.

NGL, mn defense vs phx mid range will be fun but the variable is MN turnovers. If MN doesn’t turn it over 19 times in a half they will be fine. It will be close. Agree with you on towns. Ant has been playing with flu symptoms. Hopefully the week off helps.
Suns have some crazy tough shot makers. Wolves only real bucket getter is Ant, and he still hasn't really developed a bag yet. When these games slow down and Ant isn't on fire, it'll be tough for the Wolves to have any offense
Edward’s playing bad against Phoenix is t a fluke. Look at the coverages. They are forcing Ant to be a playmaker and he hasn’t been able to make the passes necessary to beat their coverage
Very unique take. I disagree with the analysis but I respect it. Phoenix has the experience. Phoenix dominated them in the regular season. Beal has evolved in the offense. Minnesota’s length doesn’t move the needle at all. Just an overall terrible matchup for the wolves and I feel for them. My prediction is this series goes 5 games - 6 max in favor of Phx
Gobert has a really tough time when he gets switched onto booker, but he can easily get nurkic into foul trouble and the suns don’t have the frontcourt depth to manage that. I think gobert is the X factor for the wolves and booker is the X factor for the suns. It seems like Beal has found a new role for the team and it’s taking a while for booker to get used to it
As a wolves fan, I was dreading to play suns or the mavs. But! It’ll be a true test to see if this run is it or not. I do believe what you are saying, suns have our number. But can they stay hot? We have to shoot more shots than them. You are 100% correct.

Suns in 5. They are NOT the underdog. Durant Booker And Beal are better than anyone on the Timberwolves. Suns have outside shooting in Allen, Gordon and O’Neil. Nurk is the key if he stays out of foul trouble for 5 games Suns will dominate. It’s about Match ups
You’re right. The T-Wolves is the underdog, pack of dogs. Yes, it’s about matchup and unfortunately for Suns they ran into a brick, dead end. However you dice it, the Best Team should still win at the end of the day no matter who they’re facing. People think Suns was bad because they got swept … 1. Sun’s underestimate their opponent. 2. Wolves are playing on another level.
I believe that Phoenix will be the toughest out as it's coming together for them perfectly timed. I just can't forget those fourth quarter collapses this season, so hopefully Suns in 6 or 7.
The suns were actually the best 4th quarter team in the league the last 4 games of the season, and the Suns actually haven't lost a game leading at the end of the 3rd since January 28th.
this isn't a toss up match up. The Suns have the timberwolves number all they have to do is close Ants driving lanes and force them into tough threes. the Suns should win in 5 if they don't troll.

Lakers won't do that. It's incredibly stupid. The nuggets are the only real matchup threat to the Lakers. Their best shot is taking them on in the first round when they're rested and healthy
There's is not any other team in the west that i can say could sweep the Lakers other than the nuggets. Every other team i could totally see the Lakers beating in a series.

Exactly! People want to write off the wolves so fast because of the regular season series. They have homecourt advantage and the pieces to get it done. Finch just needs to dig deep and get them to the level they were playing to start the season. Easier said than done, but this is the NBA , you cannot underestimate any team. Especially a team in the west, a top 5 team at that who has young stars that can go off any given night.

Wolves held the Suns under 100 points without Kat one of those games. Don't underestimate any team in the west. There's many teams in the past that swept a season series against a team and turned around and got beat by that same team they swept. Go look it up.
