Efoiling can be dangerous especially when learning. It is a rather easy sport/activity to learn and once you become a bit experienced, you will know how to manage your wipeouts (if any).
But until then, you better know the right way to avoid as much as possible falling. Practicing the up and down technique at low speed, helps to understand how the board reacts and how it feels to be up in the air without panicking. By softly balancing your body weight from front to back, you will make the board rise above water and land safely.
