In this video we're heading north into Canada for some big mainline railroading. We catch a nice bunch of trains including a massive manifest, a VIA Rail express, and a local with a pair of Canadian National widecab GP38s.
Our location is the VIA Rail station in Cornwall, Ontario. The railroad is the Canadian National Kingston Subdivision. This line sees about 40 trains a day, slit roughly evenly between VIA Rail and CN freights. Don't expect to hear much on the radio that you can understand unless you speak French! There is a defect detector near the station, so it isn't beneficial unless you're a few miles away.
