Maria, as always, it is a pleasure to watch your tutorials. I especially like your format, listing colors, brushes, and other techniques as you go along. Thanks for another great lesson. 🎨
Good day Maria! Very nice scene, spent much of my youth working fields like this. Detail repoduction spot on. Your work always pleasure to see. Thank you always. You're hands most expressive to watch. Take care young artist.
I really like the mini brushes you use for the fine detail. Who would have thought humble wheat could look so pretty?? 😊. Watching the stages of building up layers and contrast is mesmerising. Thank you Maria for another beauty. 🤗💜
☺️💖Hi Christine, thank you so much for your comment, you know I forgot to mention this on patreon but you don't even have to add that final layer to make it look more "vibrant". It may be easier just to stick with the first layers🤗
Ahh, thanks for that little tip, Maria. It makes it more “do-able” for this humble beginner. 😉. I’ve done a lot of practice today so I’m hoping I can share something with you soon. You are such an inspiration. 🤗💜🌻
WOW! I love this painting Maria! I've lived in the middle of wheat fields for the past 30 years - and I can FEEL the August heat coming off your painting! haha Thanks Maria!
I grew up in Southwest Kansas and lived in the middle of wheat fields. This was so reminiscent of my childhood and it's perfect, truly! Thanks for the trip down memory lane!! Hugz, Tree
Ah, this looks wonderful! 😍 🌾 I adore how the focus is on the Wheat and the background is a little blurry 😍 🌾 😘 Really good job! Have a great day and thanks for sharing 😘 -Pat
Another wonderful painting to learn. I was wondering about your art education. Are you self taught or did you study to learn your skills. You paint with such determination and your hand seems to magically float across the paper. So many people have said to me that they can't paint because they have no talent. I say, some are lucky to just know what to do, but for most of us it is a learned skill. I think I am ok with my paintings but still have a lot to learn. I took in 4 friends who swear they had no talent and now they are painting beautifully. The ones who practice the most have progressed the most. I feel that anyone can learn if they have the desire. Thank you for sharing your inspiration and lovely paintings>
Hi Jane, thank you so much :) I’m a self taught artist and started somewhere in 2011/2012. Yes it’s all in practice and just painting a ton. The more you do it the better you get at it and everyone can learn. I have never taken any classes in person or online, no art education. I was just determined to learn. Now I’m sharing what I can because if I could do this everyone else can learn as well :)
thank you so much Dyann :) I didn't think much of washi tape before and I had it for so long, then one day I decided to tape my paper for the white frame and it just became my thing ever since😃🌺
Maria Raczynska,it is wonderful, I like very much! I have a request. Can you draw a picture of paddy field? I want to handle my exam on 14 March 2018. THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Hi Laura, I first taped my painting using washi tape just for the "white frame", then I used masking fluid for watercolors to mask "whey", then I let it dry, then I wetted the entire paper and started painting wet on wet. I lay my watercolor paper on a glass and I believe it helps to keep my paper down :)
