Sorry to hear about your video freezing Jumble. My HC-808A came with a 16GB card and the pics/videos are 'pink'. I have just ordered a couple of new cards but am wondering if it was the SD card at fault rather than the camera?
Hi I've got the same one as this, but it isn't taking images at night time, is there a setting that I have to turn on for night vision or something, before you ask yes there as definitely been something passing at night time as the bait i put down as gone every morning, many thanks for your.
Yikes that is crummy that someone would have sold it with a password on it. Other than trying to figure out the password all I can recommend is finding directions on how to do a firmware update. If you update the firmware it will reset the password. Here is their site maybe you can contact them for assistance doing that (usually they have to give you the firmware file) - suntekcamera.gr/
We purchased 4 HC808a cameras. We have one camera that the screen is completely black. We had it out in the woods for 4 days & now its dead. Is there a way to reset it? We put new batteries in it, checked the connections & batteries with the volt meter, everything tests good. Appreciate any input.
I have the very similar HC-800 A which has been supplied with an optional solar charger, on the base of which it states '9V OUT'. As I believe the camera is rated for 6volts, is the 9volt item safe to use? (Rather confusingly, the base has two socket points saying '9-12V IN and 9V OUT' What does this mean?)
I just got a HC 802A. With batteries in, when I turn it on the screen is just white. Nothing appears! My guess is the camera software is bad. Am I just out? Brent
Hi JBR - I just got the HC-808A. Came here to see how it works - after using it yesterday without reading the manual! To my horror, when I went to follow Jumble's guide nothing - 8 batteries dead. They were 1.5 v alkaline testing at 1.27v having been in use most of yesterday. Took them all out, put 4 in - hey presto! I hope your camera works now?
I have no idea why your camera didn't turn on with Lithium as I have 4 cameras and all work fine with re chargeable batteries the only reason they recommend normal is due to the cold Lithium don't work well in very cold weather.
I don't like Lithium because they will always show as a full battery (even if they are getting ready to die). I don't use any batteries at all in the camera anymore, not I just run it solely on solar panel.
wait, your cat is friends with a rat?? i have 4 of the suntek cams. that's how happy i was with my first one. two hc-800 and two hc-801 cams. they are inexpensive, and for their price, they are just fine.
