That 2cd round fucked with Jonny's head so badly you can tell in his 3rd round he was still think about what Uno said. This is like when Caustic BODIED Jefferson Price.

@@yuhere4429 sure, didn't KILL his career ig, but definitely hurt it, a lot. he was seen as an up and comer who could be a top tier name one day, battling thesaurus/diz/etc Then this battle dropped, and it made Johnny admittedly step out of the public eye and battle scene for at least a couple years, probably because you couldn't go to an event without hearing a "myverse/johnny storm" bar for the next 3-5 years or so. Remember, there were only like 4 big leagues back then, so even URL battlers would mention this battle (usually as a way of shitting on grindtime/mad illz, not storm in particular) but apparently it got to him enough that he took a step back from battling. He was EVERYWHERE, at EVERY event before this happened mind you. Now he's back battling on small leagues, and imo you can tell his confidence is just shot, nowhere near as cocky as he was before this. He tries to pre-buttal his opponents myverse lines sometimes, and just sounds very emotional when doing so, like he's not over it. His confidence clearly took a dive. Kinda sad tbh, he was pretty talented and had a leg up on other battlers from his class since he was young and popular. This is a Jefferson Price/Caustic level bodybag for most battle fans because of everything I mentioned
Everytime i watch this battle i just laugh at storm first round not because of him but because of the crowd cause nobody knew this would be a body in ultra real time

Storms bars were way more on point tbh. Lavoz got the crowd with the whole myverse angle tho. That one round alone killed the entire battle. I feel bad for storm because he is actually a way better rapper. He would shit on lavoz any other day.
This is the thing with battle rap.... shit really happens behind the scenes then gets brought up and exposed to the public. The better rapper won't always win.... it's info wars.
