Nice "affprdable pistol. I love mine. Have the model 41 as well. What I like about this one is its practicality and scope mounting system. I'm looking forward to the Smith Victory coming to my area soon. Be sure to get packets of those little recoil buffers for that gun. I find that mine need replacing every 1500 rounds or so. Nice video. Thanks.
Great review. I polished my feed ramp. I never have a misfeed now. That fed ammo is my favorite. I love the sights. But i sight for 6 oclock on targets, so the black on black sights dont bother me. The wooden grips you have are aftermarket in canada. The talo grips here are cnc'd. Im shooting 94s on competitive targets at 25 yards!
If the bolt arrangement is like a Ruger Mark's then that's a plus for accuracy potential, thank's for mentioning that and showing the close up of the bolt and sights.
Thank you, yes for the money these a dam good pistols, I have the model 41 as well as the 22a , chose the 22a simply for its reliability and ease of cleaning, no tools required,as it should be.The 22's need quality ammo that is up around the 1100 FPS. plus, then you will have heaps of fun with rare hang ups.Got to keep that grip firm though. No dry fire ! If you have a mag that doesn't feed reliably fix it asap. You will have problems real quick if you dry fire.If you have miss fires check the cartridge case just under the rim at firing pin mark, you will find a little bright spot on the brass where the breach is mushroomed due to dry fire. Easy to fix, A couple of gentle strokes with a very fine jewellers file but better still push it back out with a small burnishing tool with some oil from your forehead nose or ear, :) LoL sorry but it's really good for this type of work and it's mostly there when you are, :) Good vid. Cheers.
First time I've seen another one with the same color grip as mine. Most seem to be more on the brown side. However, mine is a 22A, not a 22A-1 (model # begins UAP).
If you want to beat your Hunter, try a Smith & Wesson Model 41. It’s universally considered to be the most accurate production 22 lr made. It’s expensive.,but absolutely worth it. Anything not going through the same hole on the target is completely on the shooter (and possibly really shitty ammo). And it eats everything….. For reasonably priced ammo, stick with CCI standard velocity (They call it target)
Yo reload, you crack me up and your not full of shit. We'll hang out when I can afford airfare . P.s. Your gun ranges are prettier there than than the south side of Chicago. Count your blessings.
Thanks for posting! trying to find a 22lr handgun that eats ANY ammo..so far my daughters Browning Buck Marks eats everything! Just hate having to use tools to break down..
Hi, good video, I have a 22a like the one in the video. I don't have any problem withe the federal ammo, mine seams to like all ammo. Don't think there is any difference in ammo USA to Canada
I have the Talo edition of the .22A which is similar to this pistol except in stainless steel. I agree that it is an accurate shooter although, not a match for the model 21 or H.S. Victor. I think that the pistol is very underrated because it is as good or better than most pistols in it’s class as a bargain price. Unlike you, I dislike the grip design and find it too bulky for my taste. Those little plastic buffer pads do wear out. Particularly, if you shoot high velocity ammo. Might be a good idea to stock up on them if you can find them.
I was just a the Local gun store, saw one of these for 229.99, asked the owner if I could get out the door at 230 cash. I walked out with this pistol. I've been looking for a good .22 and this one just jumped into my hands. Couldn't pass it up.
