XoxoGirlXoxo I'm 13, I love Bruce and his music. And my one question is how did he climb on that piano and scream "IS THERE ANYONE STILL ALIVE OUT THERE!!!"
+Callum Ferguson I wasn't disappointed. Concert was on Wednesday, still buzzing from it, humming the songs. Pre-ordered the official CD from the gig and everything.
Qué buenos shows los de los 00s: 2001: Aerosmith 2002: U2 2005: Paul McCartney 2006: The Rolling Stones 2007: Prince 2008: Tom Petty 2009: Bruce Springsteen Una buena racha de grandes músicos.
***** or if he jumped right into the opening guitar solo of Adam Raised A Cain......now that would have been sick lol....as it is best Halftime show ever, not to be topped!
Hayden Lindquist He'd have lasted maybe 20 seconds before the producers cut to a break and pulled the plug. He'd have to forgo his fee, be deemed in breech of contract and quite possibly be on the receiving end of a lawsuit.
You are obviously lacking in good music judgment guy. Springsteen is one of the best singer/songwriters around today and if you can't see that I feel bad for you. Springsteen is also one of the greatest live rock performers of all time. He puts on close to 4 hour shows everytime he plays live. He is very entertaing on stage and changes the set list every single show. If you see him live you know for damn sure you will get your moneys worth. Once I saw Springsteen in concert I literally can't go see any one else because nobody puts on anywhere close to as good of a concert as he does. How many songs of his have you listened to anyway? Maybe you should listen to the Born to Run album then get back to me.
Bruce should do EVERY HALFTIME SHOW!!!! Just like Billy Crystal hosted the Oscars 9 times, the Boss and the E Street Band should be the SUPER BOWL'S HOUSE BAND!!!! Anyone agree?
"Wow I just want to feel musically superior to everybody, and to parade my taste in music, whoever doesn't like my music taste obviously has no taste in music, I'm better than everybody!"
Even thought it's just a 12-minute concert, this is the BEST halftime show of all time. No miming, no gimmicks on stage etc. Just a huge crowd, lighting and pyrotechnics.
I'm 20 years old and this is my favorite halftime show ever...why can't they give us oldies but goodies. Seeing my 4th Springsteen show in March so excited
+Yes this is Emily ? I was 19 when I first saw him and have seen him 38 times since the Original River Tour....imgine how incredible he was when he was 28 yrs old!!? I witnessed it!! unreal!
Tell me that you had to watch this to get 100% satisfaction even after watching half time show of Super Bowl 50. Boss lovers and haters please hit that like button and comment.
The crowd were trained. Bruce gave his all, even more so than usual, but the crowd at the front are irrelevant. They were largely not fans... just watch the guy at the front right of the stage. They trained for days for this.
I hate that, why bother going to see a show if you're going to be watching it through your phone screen all night. I understand people want to capture the moment, but some people practically record the whole thing.
Yeah and that was only 10 years ago! Why I loved the halftime shows between 2000 and 2009-2010 the most because no-one had their phones out at the halftime shows!
Completely agree with Bruce and U2! Haven't seen bon Jovi, yet! Would very much like to! But think queen would have to be in at least the top 2! Up there with the Boss
Francis Francis just because they are micheal and U2 doesnt mean they put on a great show. Micheals was lip sinked along with the fact that he spent 2 mins standing in the same place doing nothing and then spending half the time singing with a bunch of kids. and U2s doesnt even come close to bruces. Just because they may or may not be bigger stars doesnt mean they put on a better show is what im getting at. *Which they didnt*
I’ll never put on a Springsteen record myself but this is a great fucking halftime show. No rarities, no lipsyncing (yes you MJ) and just 13 minutes of music. Awesome.
Being back classics like this. The people who actually know how to perform without all that fancy stuff. People who don't have to sexualize themselves and show off more of their body than they have to. People who have pure raw talent and know what to do with it. This is what we need, I'm sick of seeing the same thing over and over again. No more Beyonce and Madonna. I want the Boss, I want the Stones, I want U2, i want Paul McCartney. I want REAL music. Good ole fashioned rock n' roll. People who can just stand on stage with a guitar and get everyone out of their seats.
I wish I could do it, but 1. I'm not famous and 2. I'd probably freeze up when I realized that so many people are looking at me! I love to sing any genre of music though! Especially rock!
no bs just a great halftime show by the boss.this is how real music is suppose to sound. give me legends that i grew up with like springsteen, bob seger, tom petty and the eagles, etc. not this crap they call music today. why do you that is why when icons like springsteen and seger tour their concerts sell out right away. no gimmicks just pure entertainment.
Bruce should do EVERY SUPER BOWL HALFTIME SHOW!!!! Just like Billy Crystal hosted the Oscars 9 times? The Boss and the E Street Band should be the "SUPER BOWL'S HOUSE BAND"!!!! One request, though... Bruce, PLEASE ADD "She's the One" to the next Halftime Show!!
I just watched all the Super Bowl halftime performances from 2009-2013. Springsteen, The Who, Black Eyed Peas, Madonna, Beyonce. Comparing the number of views and likes from this video to Beyonce's performance, there should be no question why Bruce doesn't perform every year.
Watch any halftime show before or since and yoi can easily tell the crowd is into this performance more. Doubt anyone was in the bathroom or getting food at halftime either.
…had to come here and see what a REAL super bowl halftime show looks like after those useless 12 minutes i was forced to live through the other night….thank u Boss!
This has been the best Super Bowl halftime show I can ever say I was alive for. I remember I was 8 years old and found out Springsteen was doing the halftime show. I was so excited cause he was my favorite musical artist. I sat through that whole first half not really caring about the game cause I just wanted to see the halftime show. This turned out to be one of the best Super Bowls of all time.
Tom Petty's was the best... he didn't feel the need to try and plug a new song in the middle of his routine like everyone else does, including the boss.
I love Tom Petty (by love I mean I listen to his entire discography frequently, saw him live on many occasions, etc), but I respectfully disagree. He had a great performance, but I think “Working On a Dream” fit well into the sequence and theme Bruce was aiming for. I think in the last 10 years of Tom Petty’s Performances, he could have dug a little deeper into his discography and thrown some more new songs into his setlists as they got rather stagnant, at least to me. God bless him, because he was amazing artist, but I think Bruce has a slight edge. Obviously, though, you have great taste if you’re watching a Bruce video and you’re an admirer of Tom Petty 😀 Cheers!
