Colin, Mahomes is 6'2, 225 and Purdy is 6'1 220, same size hands. Enough with the "small" stuff over and over. He was by far the best in the league against the blitz this season. Check the numbers. He was very cool in this game. Play calling in critical moments and Chris Jones were the biggest issues.

The defenses were huge and the quarterbacks did what they could to make it to overtime. The difference came in overtime. Purdy was good enough to drive his team down the field for a field goal. Mahomes, on the other hand, rose to the occasion, as he so often does, and got the touchdown and the win. Purdy is good, and he deserves to be treated with the same deference as a Joe Burrow (lost to the Rams in the SB and to the Chiefs in the AFC Championship), a Josh Allen (loses to the Chiefs and Bengals in the playoffs) or a Lamar Jackson (lost to the Chiefs). At least one of the four QBs mentioned here will win a Super Bowl. Let's be fair: if we don't cancel out Burrow, Allen or Jackson, we should not cancel out Purdy, even if he doesn't "look the part".

Kyle Shanahan electing to receive the ball first in ot was absolutely the right decision imo. That KC defense was spent (everyone was). Keep them on their heels. The 49ers were rushing effectively (4 or 5 yards) on that tired defense which opened up everything else. The Chiefs had enough in them to hold them to a field goal and the rest is history.

Greenlaw injury made a huge difference

thought it was a great game. so many points where the game 'hinged' on plays. Butkers long kick? line drive that could easily have been blocked. fact there was a hand in the area. just fortunate for the chiefs. some crazy bounces. but two teams putting it all out there... as for taking the ball first in OT? with the Niners kicker? heck yes. assuming game is tied and 'next score' wins in OT. Moody is the guy. on a different note: couple years back, folks were up in arms over the Bills not getting a chance ... so they changed OT rules (let's call it the Mahommes-Chiefs rule). some what feels a bit like Karma that this would so quickly come back to benefit the Chiefs.

Tua, Josh, Lamar and Brock Tua 20-39 199 yards rating 63.9 -- Josh 26-39 185 yards rating 86.1 - Lamar 20-37 272 yards rating 75.5 and Brock 23-38 255 yards rating 89.3 - The other QB have played Mahomes more than once. Brock faced Mahomes for the 1st time. Celebrate Brock... Colin has always been a Purdy minimalist. Purdy had free runners continuously on blitzes or rollouts, that was why he missed throws or was hurried, not that he cannot handle pressure. Mahomes had time to throw on that all out blitz, credit O line. Moody was a wasted 3rd round pick from Michigan, Colin is a Michigan slappie, and he missed an extra point that was needed to win and also cost 49ers 2 reg season games will be gone for next year.
