As a huge Bronco fan. This superbowl and its result is one of the best days of my life. Not only because the Broncos won, because I was able to watch it with my entire family. I sure miss watching football with those family members who are no longer here.

People have forgotten how huge this was. Before the game the Broncos had lost 4 Super Bowls, John Elway was considered the best QB to have never won the SB, and the AFC had lost 13 straight SB's.
@brucewayne1662
@brucewayne1662 5 лет назад
Yep, it was also the most competitive, most exciting Super Bowl in 7 years. Not only that but Elway was on his last legs (but still very effective. Terrel Davis may have gotten the MVP but I don't think it would be necessarily accurate to say their running game or defense carried the team). Also the Packers were heavily favored and were the defending Super Bowl Champions. It also limited Brett Favre's Super Bowl wins to just one, and I think a lot of people assumed he would finish his career with a lot more than that.

Here is a case as to why Super Bowl 32 is the absolute best Super Bowl game of all time: 1. John Elway finally wins the Super Bowl after three losses in Super Bowls 21, 22, and 24. 2. John Elway VS. Brett Favre, with the Packers being 14+ point favorites to go back-to-back. 3. The NFC's Super Bowl winning streak finally gets snapped at thirteen. 4. Both teams scored a touchdown on their opening possession. 5. The game stayed close throughout, where at one point, there were three ties. 6. John Elway's 3rd down helicopter dive in the 3rd quarter. 7. Terrell Davis battling through migraine headaches to score 3 touchdowns and win Super Bowl MVP honors.

@DieKolkrabe
@DieKolkrabe 7 лет назад
Nah...they didn't lose. They imploded. There's a difference, they spectacularly imploded on the biggest stage in pro football really. Name another SB with such a great team destroying their chances from the very outset. Seattle were the better team, but the Broncos gave away the first points on the first play. That was the tone of the whole game really. Whereas the 2015 SB with the Panthers, I can't say for sure the Broncos or the Panthers were objectively the better team honestly, but that SB was a snore fest really, it felt to me like a regular season defensive shootout just happening to be in the biggest stage in pro gridiron.

Then Dorsey Levens makes the Pro Bowl and Brett gets his 3rd MVP. While watching this game, I was happy to see at least before halftime that Mark Chmura got into the act. Other than Elway coming in as the sentimental favorite, the big story coming into this game was how in the world was the lightest offensive line in the league going to be able to blocking the biggest, heaviest defensive line in the NFL. To quote Tom Jackson, "it was like Reggie White didn't even play", how little his name was called as a result of game action. And as for Gilbert Brown, the biggest lineman of them all, I'll have to track down the NFL Films cut of this game ("We got the big guy on skates!" - Alex Gibbs, OL Coach).

I remember watching this game when is was 14 years in 1997 growing up in philadelphia. I always liked NBC presentation of the Super Bowl the most out of CBS NBC and ABC back in the day

What. A. Game. Had not seen this again since I saw it live over 20 years ago. Top 3 SB All-Time. TD was a smooth beast. One of the best all-time. Too bad his career was cut short.

This whole game is just a huge highlight reel! Play after play it’s all filled with things that on other superbowls would be one of the most important plays ever, thats how hardcore this super bowl really was.

I didn't get to watch this game because I was sent to bed early before the game started, so this is great, thanks for posting!

The Elway run in the 3rd, I remember my friends (including a couple of 49ers fans) and I were jumping and cheering after that run.
