Prices on cx have definitely dropped 21 vs 24, you'd be sat at home most of the week quoting those prices on cx. You're right about syndicates, sole driver accounts screenshotting jobs to other uninsured drivers.
had a similar limp mode problem with a Sprinter Luton....drove me mad trying to fix it....turned out to be a partially melted through10p vacuum pipe round the back of the heater matrix !! Grr. I feel your pain.
I’ve said it before but soon as a driver has a quote excepted on the cx it should stop you quoting for another one within the time period of you delivering the other job . It should flag up if you have excepted 2 jobs for the same collecting time
I’m a small-medium forwarder on cx and there is no charge currently for adopting smart pay. Process 120-200 invoices a week and there are no additional fees.
@@replay6896 place a gtm and see the range of prices you get. There are some that will price a small van job at Luton rates because they bought a Luton cause the cockney told them so. I have small vans so quote my customers small van rates not Luton rates. Rates now aren't much better than 2015. Supply and demand
Hi, just make sure that it's the actuator before spending loads of money on fixing the turbo! Does the turbo kick in after 1800rpm? If it does check the actuator hose it's connected properly and also check as it might have a small crack where air comes out and sometimes turbo won't kick in due to this. Like somebody else said in comments make sure that the head gasket is not blown now, keeping in mind that you had all the issues with the coolant and the van hasn't been cooling properly for a while! I hope this helps!
Yeh head gaskets fine, it’s strange really. The vans drive fine and normally until you need that bit extra power to go uphill or fully loaded and entering a motorway. Then it just kicks into limp mode. Turn it off and on again and 90% of the time it’s fine for a few more minutes
Had Same issue in one of my vans. I went through the same thing, EGR cleaned, turbo etc. it's bolocks. It's the vacuum system get a new water pump witch is Also your vacuum pump. That will fix the issue. Volkswagen said it was vacuum I ignored them and did what the garage said... I spend 8k for no reason.
Hi James , Your view on the way that syndicates work is undoubtedly correct. Just so you know I left you a voicemail Thursday evening ..I didn't withhold my number so it will be there somewhere .. Please have a listen, and give me a shout when you can. Cheers
If your a prober company with PAYE drivers or even self employed on a contract why would you want your staff quote work. You as the employer would control what they do. Ie i have a driver on £100.00 a day. I send him on a job thats 4 hours out and 4 hours back. If i can get a load back for him. Its my profit he still gets his £100.00. and paid holiday and pension and sick pay etc.
@@StanSuchy who then decides to go it alone on cx and take your customers. Pay your drivers right. 28 days paid holiday pension and. I'm old school.time and half overtime or double time for Sunday's
