The music in the end before your final encounter with Dracula is one of my favorite in the entire franchise(music for Death, Gaibon,Slogra), but the one boss fight that gets me is Simon Belmont's against Death. The intro being all the forms and souls of Death himself fusing together with a bad ass withering sound effect, as he becomes the final guardian to stand in your way to reach Dracula in his tower, waiting for your presence.Even though a majority of professionals who master this game and make his battle look like a loading screen full of boredom, I still tend too enjoy it. Overall my statement is that Super Castlevania 4 is the best Castlevania game in its entire franchise for the emotion that reaches to the players.
I'm impressed you managed to beat that fucking red skull without getting hit. I hate that fight, there's just too much shit going on to handle, it always just turns into a DPS war where I make sure I go in with full health and just trade hits with the boss til it's dead.
I agree completely. SCV4’s Death was the most incredible entrance of all the games. I never really cared much for how Death was essentially transformed into Dracula’s secretary in the later games. Ridiculous.
I **so** wish I had seen this video before doing my playthrough series of Super Castlevania IV. Had no idea about the strategies you utilized with Frankenstein's Monster and the Mini-Gold Bats.
Two of the bosses names are quite fitting when spelled backwards. Puwexil, the skull with the tong (lixewup, licks you up) and the stone golem after, Koranot (tonarok, ton a rock). Konami had a sense of humor, and sometimes they'd show it.
Bjorn Berkers Several of the sounds are noticeably off but the two that sound exceptionally goofy are Gaibon's fireball spit sound and the sound from Dracula's beam of light. It seems like the sounds that are off are the ones that have pitch bends.
For a real SNES sound, SNES9x 1.53, BSNES and Virtual Console are a good choice. ZSNES crap out a lot of games, Super Mario World has weird sound effects, Earthworm Jim 2 even play the sound effects, just a "corruption sound", etc.
I can't even beat the final 4 castle bosses (I'm including dracula) without dying a million times, and you did it with no dmg. What kinda sorcery is this?
***** want a fcking cookie, punk?? lol just kidding around. Practice makes perfect tho, even this uploader must have gotten his butt kicked before mastering this game :)
+Zepher Tensho yeah i hear the NES castlevania's were some of the hardest? i wonder if it's true. my first castlevania was the gameboy one (super slow and kinda hard/annoying), then the Snes one, genesis and Ps1 etc strangely enough i found symphony of the night the easiest
I wonder if the ball guests (minions and bosses) are based on the story of Vlad The Impaler killing his guests one day? I also wonder what it would've been like if Simon fought Bogeyman (Pyramid Head from Silent Hill: Homecoming") in their place? What would it be like if Dracula's second form was Count Orlock?
I also have to ask... how DID you get so lucky in the Slogra battle? Seems like he barely dashed at you at all, and he does it nearly constantly when I've battled and reached his "2nd form".
That quick and violent Dracula battle is the frustration of Simon Belmont having to fight this bastard for the third time. He should have stayed dead after his organs were burnt. Next time let Richter deal with him.
This game was a breath of fresh air. It had awesome graphics, great sfx, an unforgettable soundtrack and above all.. I DIDNT WANT TO CRUSH MY CONTROLER THROUGH THE TV AT THE BULLSHIT DIFFICULTY. Gasp...even thinking of #2 pisses me off lpl.
nice i did also a full in-depth playthrough No hit but i said hell with it and used sub weapons.. got to love that OP Cross ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-uTJcepiXFoQ.html really adore this epic timeless classic and it's whole series
Wow...tell me boss on level 4 isn't a dead ringer for the oafish modern day Donald Trump? The face, hunch, and of course, his knack for tearing things down. It's uncanny!
