I love my little C125 but anytime I can hit 60MPH I get excited. It usually means I've hit a tail wind or a subtle downgrade. I hit 68 once, but I farted, so that's not a fair measurement due to the jet stream created. 55MPH is typically max cruising speed in the real world.
My personal experience with piaggio engines, while they're actually good and fast, they're not economical. I have the dax. Same engine and gearbox as the supercub I'm still in the break-in period. And even during this period when something is so tight, I'm doing around 1.6-1.7L/100k. (advertised as 1.5L/100km Any piaggio engine will happily be running at 2.8, 3.2L/100km I had a 50cc scooter who drank as much as 4L 😅
@@SandStormPower Over the first 7000km on my 125cc Sprint, I’ve averaged 1.9 litres per 100km. That has included lots of tours near full speed over Europe (England, France and Italy). My record in a single day has been 1.23 litres per 100km, but that’s for slower trips of around 70km/h. I have heard the 50cc’s engines use a lot of fuel though!
@@SandStormPowerI also have the Dax, and its broken in now. It has crazy good milage… ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-nKdP3zXrXLY.htmlfeature=shared
Unfortunately the speedometer by the time it gets to a 100 it cheats about 8 to 10 km/h according to the gps. At least my supercub does but thats not a unique thing. Most speedos do, on cars about 3 to 5 km/h, on bikes at least double or triple that amount. Also don't forget thats a 110 kg. 10 hp bike. The size and weight of the rider can have a big impact on the top speed.
Meanwhile it's the most economical of 125, while is the one with less resale value price drop. It's a living legend of 2 wheels. Motorbike for lovers, not for speed demons.
The motorbike has only 100 Km on the odo, Honda recommends a running-in period of 500 Km or 300 miles. During this avoid full throttle starts, rapid acceleration, hard braking and rapid downshifts !!!!!
@@o00scorpion00o it's air cooled. That's why. If was water-cooled they could give more. Still, they're so light, it makes up for the lower power. Afteral all the other more powerful 125 water cooled bikes/scooters are also heavier
