Only needs a bit of box section with a hole drilled through and a couple of big washers to make the front link fit, I just be slightly off set that's all. Nice, fast bit of kit. You could do with a saw bench next, maybe.
Thanks for posting on the log splitter, I do not trust anyone on the controles when i'm splitting, the thing cannot tell the difference between limbs and lumber. It certainlybis faster than mine having said that the one i made has a much bigger cylinder on it so takes longer to fill. It runs of the rear pto and has a 3:1 multiplyer on it to get speed to the motor. I'll do another video on it.
That thing has got a quick cycle time! I had a 22t splitter on my unimog but the hydraulics won't be anything like as good as your JD. Oh and watch your thumbs, I know a lad that took on of his off. I can't help but laugh every time he give me a thumb stump up 😂😣
Casto Lol yeah it can happen so quick especially when the logs are slipping around and that tractor does have fast hydraulics that was only running at 25% speed 👍
Great video andy, do you use all the wood you cut from round field margins as well in your fire? Really informative video. Cracking piece of kit. Has Leo had another go in tractor yet?
Hi Layton Thanks! Yeah all that wood plus trees that have fallen down aswell. He hasn’t but hopefully he’s going to have a go in the 3350 soon so he knows what a clutch and gearstick is lol 👍
Safety your cutting the wood you operate the control .... for straight grain wood like that it would be simple to make a multi head attachment to fit over the blade more cuts less time
