"Recently, I went on a family trip to Puerto Rico. Sadly, I had to leave my dog Hiro behind with roommates. One of my favorite parts of any trip is reuniting at the airport. We’re both always excited and eager to see each other after time away. This time was particularly special, as it was the longest we had ever been apart. Hiro is familiar with the airport ritual so, I knew he’d be waiting. The moment I reached the main hall of DIA it was like he just couldn’t contain it anymore. He basically tackled me in excitement, not that I minded anyway, I was just as happy to see him."

@@NIKOS_GEROSIDERIS No, it's because some areas in China are quite known for breeding dogs for food. There is even a "Dog eating Festival".. they eat dogs. (As a vegan I dont consider dogs to be more or less valuable than other animals.. I Just wanted to give you more information)

I spent 4 days in the hospital recently. It’s the first time I had been away from my little 4 legged daughter for more than 10-12 hours in the 6+ years I’ve had her since she was 12 weeks old. A neighbor was watching her while I was away. For 4 days she would not eat or play. When I came home, she went nuts. She started crying, then I started crying. I felt so guilty for leaving her, although it was necessary and unexpected. I hope I never have to put her through that again.

This is super sweet and i only wish people would give their cats chances to have moments like this too. Lost my cat for two weeks and when i went to pick him up he ran for me and was meowing with so much emotion it was precious. Never been apart from him for so long

Same thing happened to my cat, he had gotten out back and we had lost him for a month, when he got back home he was terrified till I picked him up and pet him and then he melted into my arms on the spot. Glad to hear your cat came back!

Aww! My doggos are my babies! And I remember coming home from vacation, my mom picked me up from the airport and she brought my Rottweiler, and he literally pummeled me to ground! He’s just so powerful lol! He’s 130lbs! He was so excited! So many people in the airport stopped and were starring at us. One of the best moments of my life.

My work takes me away from home for extended periods annually and I get to experience this every year for the past 7 years of my dogs life so far. Super hard leaving him and he experiences depression when I go but when I come home, he's the happiest dog in the world. Dogs are the best.

@@camez2345 no matter what pet. In order to have a deep emotional bond with your pet, you need to spend a lot of time and attention. From my own experience I know that on average you have to put in even more time and attention with birds than with dogs or cats. Again my own experience. I rarely go anywhere and rarely receive visitors. Just the way I usually want it. Partly because of this, I have a very deep emotional bond with my birds. And also due to the fact that when I am at home they are out of the cage more often than in their cage. Except when I sleep or shower. More due to the fact that I want to keep an eye on what they are nibbling on or where they are pooping.

Animals are so loyal and pure. I live in a 2 story duplex. My cats here me just walking up the stairs from work and i can here him meowing already. He quietly follows me in every room even wen i shower to purr and give me kisses. 🥺❤❤

I'm sure if my dog hadn't been sick with cancer when I came back, he'd have greeted me like that too. 😭❤️ He did gift me his final bark and wag before he said he was ready to let go.
