Mine is a husky/cross mystery breed and she does this but the problem is that she obviously looks and sounds more scary than the cute fluffball in this video because some people seem to think she's growling at them. She is just having a chat. Heard her warbling away for a while yesterday, turned out hubby was home and was having a chat to her through the fence lol she loves it when people talk back to her.

I missed the last few conversations. Could someone fill me in on the gossip?

Therapy dogs cannot bark or howl in hospitals, so he'd be a miserable choice, actually. You can't wake up patients that need to be sleeping. But he IS super cute and fluffy. :)

I think it has more to do with dogs talking because they're happy. Everyone knows the husky is being social, but the reaction would be different if it was pointless or angry barking. A baby cries when it's upset. People don't like hearing an upset baby, but babbles are cute and sweet. Everyone loves a talkative baby, just not an upset one.

Where live, there are a few packs of wild dogs and coyotes. If I come home late at night, you can sometimes hear them howling in the distance while I'm unlocking the door, and it's a pretty populated area too.

He's definitely Malamute, Huskies are smaller, and have less of a deep bellow. Sherpa looks like and behaves like a malamute not like a fusky rusks (former husky owner, current mal owner). Huskies are friendly, just not as overly friendly as Malamutes. The 2 breeds look the same. They are different beasts all together. In sled dog terms. A husky is a sports car. A malamute is a freight lorry. A female Mal can weigh in excess of 60+ kg, huskies (at a healthy Male weight) shouldn't be more than 35 - 40kg. Neither breed are for the feint of heart, both are extremely common in rescue centres around the world. Why? Their beautiful coat and colours. Temperament gets forgotten about often, resulting in a very, very frustrated, boisterous and destructive doggo. Should you truly want one. Please do as much research as possible, on everything, including breed history. It'll all help with your husbandry. Rescue a homeless one over a newborn if possible. GoT made them more famous than ever. The poor northern dogs only suffered for it.
