Wow! that prop sounds amazing

The F4U is the most beautiful, graceful, and feared plane that has ever flown, I want one! The only thing that would make it better is airbrakes that replicate the sound of the originals.

Out of every plain ever built the Corsair has all ways been my favorite.

i love the f4u and actually know a pilot who flew them in ww2, its a beautifull airplane ! sure wish i could afford one !

WOW! Well, I don't know what to say except that was absolutely spectacular. The F4U Corsair is my all time favorite War Bird. I really enjoyed the video. That is one beautiful plane. Personally, IMHO, I don't see why you would want to fly over 400ft, BUT, that's a pretty silly rule. At my old flying field, a guy used to launch a parachuter from his aircraft, and he would go up so high, that the plane was hardly visible, atleast 1500 feet.

I've been waiting some time to see a video of this bad boy because someone on a UK forum posted a picture of a model the same as this at the beginning of this year with the same wing size and everything ;-) if i remember right there was a Chinese girl standing with it and the wings where folded up,didn't know it was one of yours Pete but i'm glad you shared it with us mate ;-) now all we need is for someone in the UK to stock this warbird = thumbs up

Pete, those are not technically "split" flaps. A real split would work like two flat pieces - one stationary with the wing top, and the bottom portion splitting down to form the brake. On the F4U model are a couple small plain flaps.

Look I love nitroplanes, and honestly I buy all of my RC planes there so far. That isn't to say they have better planes. I have to say they have a larger selection on large warbirds, but you guys clearly have the more jazzed up larger ones. If I had a few more bucks in my RC fund I would definitely buy one of your large warbirds. Beautiful plane, one of these days when I am able to put more $ in the RC jar I WILL buy one of your planes they are flat out breathtakingly gorgeous.

Hey i love this plane My school is making a fome corsair it is going to fly so good.

Unbelieveable, Pete. You intro the plane, show us the landing gear & wings, and then...you completely ignore the tailhook? You do realize they're gonna make you pay for the pavement you rip up first time you land at an FBO, right? I had to rib you about it, I served on a carrier & Dad flew these, the SBD Dauntless dive bomber, & TBF/M Avenger torpedo bomber, so no way was I letting you skate on this one!

Sweet plane i doint know isit the color scheme of the corsair it seems like this color scheme amplifies the size of the rudder the rudder looks huge on this plane not like its a bad thing i think it looks awsome ....what size lipo pack does this plane use a 6 cell pack?

That's a beautiful setup the only thing I don't like is the way they did the flaps. They have them wired wrong we all know it's a three piece flap.

@FantasticBob7000 The 400' limit where Pete is flying (Apollo Field in Van Nuys, CA) is because it's in the flight path of an airport. Wouldn't want your plane flying into the windshield of an actual aircraft, would you? :-o

Pete Quick question. How did you get your gear doors to stay down when the gears are down? Mine and some others, the gear doors retract when our gear is down. Looks more scale they why yours is. Brian

Van Nuys airport is near apollo park so the radar detects these models and the cops come to give you a ticket if they catch you for that its not because they do it for fun but for for safety reasons

It could also be a regulation for small airplane safety as well. If small planes such as Cessnas frequently fly over the area, then that regulation would keep RC pilots from flying into the airspace of small planes, putting the lives of actual-aircraft pilots at the hands ( or wings) of an RC pilot and his beloved RC plane.

If only i was rich enough to get these models, instead of building everything myself...
