As author of the Ultimate SuperFriends Companion, I remember the last season of new PSAs being done were in the 1980 season, which was called the SuperFriends Hour. This was the season where Black Vulcan, Samurai and Apache Chief did most of the PSAs. The Wonder Twins did one about the importance of getting shots at the doctor's office to protect you from sickness. I remember Black Vulcan did one about brushing your teeth and one about using good light when doing your homework. But I not remember this one. (Must be in my subconscious) I remember Samurai doing one about selecting good healthy snacks for nutrition and another about what to do if you're bitten by a stray dog, which somebody has placed here on RU-vid. And I remember Apache Chief doing the importance of never skipping breakfast. But I think they replayed these PSAs in 1981 and 1982. Thanks for sharing!!
I find it funny that BV says to wear knee and elbow pads when skateboarding, but doesn't say anything about helmets. It almost suggests that he doesn't think protecting your head is nearly as important as not scraping your knees and elbows. Great advice, Hanna-Barbera!
I see that the young girl skateboarding and then she lost control and crashed and this is when Black Vulcan came to her , Telly her where to skateboard like that park nearby because I see that this is the only Black superhero in this cartoon series .
So this is from 1982? I'm curious where it came from. Was it just during commercial breaks? I don't recognize it. I don't think I've ever seen it, and there was no 1982 season. So what was this aired with?
@@37434mh As I stated above, I only vaguely remember these. There were new SuperFriends PSAs from the World's Greatest SuperFriends in 1979 and in 1980. While the 1979 PSAs still used the same big five, the 1980 PSAs were done mostly by Black Vulcan, Samurai and Apache Chief. And I recall one or two with the Wonder Twins. For reasons unknown, the PSA segments from 1979 and 1980 were never recovered, so they are rare. As to which episodes they aired with, sorry to say, even I don't remember.
I wonder. What are Black Vulcan's true identity and history? I wish. I can write a story of Black Vulcan History. I will give him an identity and more.
