Hey All, thanks for watching. I am working on a Megaman X Cover project with some added story elements. Check out what I have so far and let me know what you think! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wneyK7SeIsQ.html
I remember playing this game with my dad. Every weekend, at the evening, my dad and i tried to beat the game. It was so fun, and hard. Many fails and retries too. We shared the controller everytime someone dies in the game. We had a lot of fun together, haha. We didn't beat the game back then. I stopped playing this game and I moved to Far Cry games. 4 years later, I decided to beat the game myself. I did. It was hard, but I did it. I told my dad: "Dad ! Do you remember Super Ghouls N Ghosts ? That game we played a lot ?" He said "Yes ! I remember. Are you still playing it after all these years ?" And I said "Well, yes. And guess what ? I beat it !" He said he was proud of me. I have a lot of games like this one. But I will never sell them to keep memories... Jesus Christ I can't hold my tear... Nice video by the way :)
I played this 27 years ago while renting it from a local video store, never beat it. I don't think I ever made it past that second level. I want to say I did beat that star-fish monster at some point a year later but immediately got killed soon after. I stopped renting after that.
Truly? Then I really was ahead of my peers. I beat the game as a kid myself many times on snes. I'm also left-handed, on the Dean's List, hacked computers at the age of 8, Paypal and websites not long after. I guess I am special though LOL. 20 years of waiting wow. I couldn't live my life waiting. I would have to take responsibility and succeed myself.
Dark souls isn’t that hard, really. There were so many hard nes/snes games by comparison. If you take your time with the souls games they’re manageable, I love all of em
Aww shit.. here we go again.... Also: Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh! Arthur, how DARE you not have the bracelet! That's it! Go back and get it then save the princess then you are grounded grounded grounded grounded grounded grounded grounded for 100 years!
Kids now never knew the meaning of true fear. This was it. I haven't played this in like 20 years and it still gives me anxiety watching it :). Well done.
I'm baffled you don't fight the bat.. I always assumed you would fight that unique looking bat instead it's a guy who makes platforms from his groin so you can give him a facial, what on earth did I just watch. As I kid I finished this game and got the bracelet and just assumed you couldn't fight the bat without and could never get through the game on expert with the bracelet.
Agh hahahahahaha you BROKE your controller I had a big 'n chunky MAD CATZ snes controller made all the difference unlike those pissy little snes controllers now!
Arcade sticks make a world of difference. There are a lot of arcade classics that are a nightmare to play on a gamepad and a breeze to play on a stick. Im not a fan of gamepads at all.
@@Retronomicon yeah, a lot of retro games didnt have anything to go off of so they just made new stuff, now theres a TON of relying on nostalgia and orchestral & movie-like stuff for big budget games
I FINALLY FOUND IT!!!! Aww man I still remember every detail of this game after all these years!! I’ve been searching for the name of this game since the last time I played it as a kid. This game stands out for its badassery! The detailed spooky atmosphere even down to the music! I remember the little diddy of the first level in my head all these years. So happy I found this. All these years I would try to look up this game and I would always click on castlevania videos thinking it was this. I saw the cover of this game online and instantly remembered it like it all came back too me! Its been 23 years since I heard this music and watched this gameplay. Aww man the memories. I remember u could lose your armor and be chased by zombies in your underwear lol. Man im very happy right now. Thank you for loading this up. Subscribed!
Vino5150 - What a cool story. Now you need to run out and buy yourself an SNES classic before they are no longer on store shelves. Nintendo has stopped making and shipping them and they WILL get expensive very quick. It’s loaded with games you should remember playing as a kid. Good luck!
you can play also the coin version of Ghouls N Ghosts on mame emulator or the pc - engine (turbo grafx in usa) version. It's different from this for snes. There is also the "first episode" of this game for coin op, it's called Ghost 'n' goblins, always playable on mame. There is also a a remake for playstation portable (PSP) of Ghost 'n' goblins . You can try it with pppsssppp emulator. And for snes there is a game "brother" of this: Demon Crest.
This game is nightmare fuel. Pitch black with high contrast highlights of tree leaves and skulls under a cold wet grass. That sea level still gives me chills. The music is something else.
Man, does watching this ever take me back! I was never able to beat the game. The amount of memorization and skill required to do what you did is awesome. Thanks for posting!
Am I the only one who finds the atmosphere in that first level where the sky is pitch black and trees look gloomy absolutely magical and captivating ? Gives me a certain feeling can't tell what..
@liukangstoupee Yeah. The first death trap that you need to use trial and error for (probably just once) is the water part of the first level where the wave in the background destroys some of the land. It doesn't matter if you're in the air, if you're above a platform that ceases to exist, no matter the armor, it's an insta kill.
I loved the stereo that the SNES produced when I first played this great game. Sadly, I was never ever able to pass the first level! This goes to show that you don't need a new generation console to have fun. This 16 bit SNES gave tons of fun to most that played the games! Flat graphics but stereo music, made these games classics! I wish I could turn the hands of time back. So my mom, dad and brother would still be alive!
Good thing the ending isn't as bad as... "Congratulation, This story is happy end, Thank you!..." "Being the wise and courageour knight that you are, You feel strongth welling in your body. Return to Starting point! Challenge again!"
I watched my father playing this when i was I child and i saw how he struggle just to finish this game... So nostalgic... Thanks to the internet i can still watch this...
17:47 HENCHMAN: Boss! He's getting closer! BOSS: Put some weird ass spikes and gonorrhea on the floor to slow him down! And some of those weird flying babies! How many of those we got left?
Took me forever to get far in this game & I remember being so pissed at 29:37 ! I couldn't believe this fkn game is starting over. I've never been past that part. No way I'm doing that whole ordeal again. There's more fish in the sea sorry princess!
Exactly how I felt. On top of that, the bracelet is garbage, having to do it all again with that awful weapon was worse than the extra enemies that come at you.
56:01 The critical hit that made you a legend of Super Ghouls N' Ghosts 57:34 The CRITICAL HIT Heard Around Capcom Universe, giving you the title of "The God Of Super Ghouls N' Ghosts." We're Not Worthy!!!! We're Not Worthy!!!! We're Not Worthy!!!! We're Not Worthy!!!! I am speechless in such a teary and joyful way to see someone do the ultimate achievement for this game. Congratulations!!!!
I tell ya, I must have been carved out of pixelated stone back in 93 - cleared level 1 first attempt on xmas day 93, got to boss on level 2. I considered the game hard. Furthest I got was a multi headed dragon. Played it on the snes mini yesterday - can't even get halfway through the first level. Now I consider it insanely hard, and a bit unfair.
@@anthonybotonis4541 I don't know if it still is since I don't own a switch. It was my brother's I borrowed for a weekend and it was then when I made that comment a year ago
i remember beating this game in my youth(with tremendous effort). only to get the message to do it all over, i took the game out of my snes(forcefully), didn't even turn it off, packed it up and took it to the video game store( Willow Video) and traded it fuckin in for a different game.
I remember,i was litle kid,im 93'.When my elder brother bring nintendo from somewhere.I was find this game, and i was fascinated about that draw of knight in grave.I realy wish play it but some cables was missing for nintendo :D
Wow. The ghosts n goblins series was admitted one of the most difficult games Nintendo ever created and this dude skates thru it like nothing. I can't even remember how many hours/days/weeks etc I spent binge playing these games and barely getting 60% thru these games. That's commitment.
This was my favorite snes game. Such a classic. Brings up so many awesome memories as a kid playing this with my brother and uncle. It took us like 10 years to beat this game. Even though it was one of the hardest games I've ever played, it's also one of the best games I've ever played. These are the type of games where you actually had to have skills to play.
Hey Guys, check out my Gameboy Advance and Genesis Longplay of this if you want to watch more. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-DUlMFkz-d7c.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YzgCysZKfO4.html
Never seen the last boss and he sucks, too easy to beat. The hard part of this game is dealing with that bracelet!!!! Everything else is all repetitive. Those flying demons, second hardest part of the game.
@@ismael1989 you have to beat the game once from start to finish. Once you do that, they make you do it again and it should pop up more frequent inside the treasure chests.
I had this game when I was like 7-8 years old and literally couldn’t get past the first minute of the first level. Honestly, the moves you have to master to beat the first level is something I literally don’t think 99% of human beings on earth can do. I watched this video 25 years later just because I randomly thought of the music in the first level and wanted to see someone beat just the midway point of the opening stage lol. How is a child supposed to memorize 100 consecutive perfect movements?? Also the intro to this game is pretty awesome, and I remember being kinda scared!
sponkmyers Ever heard of God Of War, or at least the Dark Souls series? You clearly have no idea what you’re talking about, and like the guy above me said; Super Meat Boy was one of the hardest platformers I’ve ever played in my entire life. There are plenty of extremely hard hair-ripping games around. If you want “SKILL”, go ahead and do an Ultra-Nightmare run of DOOM (2016) or play the entire Halo Master Chief Collection with all the skulls on while in Legendary difficulty. “No skill in games” my ass.
I remember when I first passed it I was mad that I was sent back to the beginning, then I tried to beat it again and couldn’t. After seeing this video I busted out the old console and have been trying to beat it. Love the video lots of good memories 🤘🏽👍🏼.
All these years I was thinking I made it close to the end of this game back in the day, but then I realize after watching this that I had only made it to the end of stage 4.
The boss of level 3 has always scared me until nightmare has given me and always with nerves I have tended to try to defeat him. Not only because of the gloomy appearance but also the musical atmosphere.
Cockatrice, Hydra, Bēruaroken, and just about any of the ground enemies in the game. I use it and beat it all the way to Asutroauto and Nebiroth. It’s not that difficult. I did this in 6th grade. Six years ago.
Mannnnn so happy finally I know the ending. Thankyou. I still remember when I was a kid, I can't even pass the first level because of the fire enemies :'v
For all those wondering about the princess's measurements: she was slimmer at the end of the Ghouls 'n Ghosts adventure!! The measurements were then 83, 50, 89. Now 88, 58, 90. Basically she gained everwhere from GNG to SGNG. Can someone figure out why??
This game is nothing short of an absolute masterpiece. I remember playing this for hours when I was 10 years old in 1993. The nostalgia is significant. Thank you sir
