Whoa, "sheet" I was familiar with - I remember that term being quite common back when a level in a game meant a static screen with no scrolling. So clearing a maze in Pac-Man was clearing one "sheet." But I've never heard "card" used. I wonder what that was all about?

"Sheet" is a really archaic term, used to mean a "stage" - i.e. a screen, a level, a round, a wave - back in some early arcade games, before the terminology settled down. With early-80s arcade games like Donkey Kong, you'll sometimes still hear pro gamers refer to how many "sheets" they cleared. I'm guessing "sheet" referred to the way screens were planned out, like on sheets of graph paper.
Wow I was playing videogames since the Atari 2600's blocky and noisy games, but I never heard of sheets to describe screens. Scenes maybe. I am Dutch though buy English is my 2nd language and I spoke and read English before Dutch because my mom was and still is a lover of all things British and Canadian because of her jobs abroad. And I could read the English magazines that had the cassettes and free games. Lol, sheets sounds funny man. I cleared the 1st sheet... I died on the 2nd sheet though... Fell in a hole on the 2nd sheet. Soiled my sheets 😂 Love retro games, we was happy with the most unplayable nonsense because we imagined that the sheets we couldn't get to because of the insane difficulty or just plain broken code would be worth the pain. Some aged well though, there were some genius coders back then too...
One of my earliest memories is being emotionally scarred by seeing Geoff Capes in tears because he thought Super Gran had died. It's a very British thing to produce TV you know is crap and totally lean into that as one of the features of it. Anyway, never played the game at the time and for that I'm glad! Thanks for the memories!

I was 'aware' of the show at the time but didn't actually watch it, doesn't look like I missed much! The game I did play, and although it was awful I'm pretty sure I reached Shit 5 with its corrupted bike .. an achievement I'm not proud of. I have no idea why, but this year I decided to add to my Spectrum collection the very worst games ever made for it, so I'm particularly enjoying this kind of video.
Well done for getting to level 5! I'm not sure if that requires perseverance or you were simply spiting yourself for owning it, either way that's an accomplishment!
Oh god, I hated Supergran the TV show. Admittedly I was a touch too old for it at the ripe age of 16 when it first released. It offended me deeply and I still have irrational feelings of loathing and disgust when I see footage now. It was a show I'd somehow forget I hated, probably because of the general adulation it generated, and I'd be suckered into giving it another go. I hated it. Every time. And I ended up hating myself for being so weak. Thank you for this. It's cold here tonight and the old rage is back to keep me warm. Oh, games looks shit too doesn't it?
I keep forgetting that I watch a couple of episodes of this, from the first time I saw the name on your list ....it is completely nuts, but I must admit if it was on CITV around my era I'd probably watch it? I mean I watched shows magic 50p's and teenagers turning into animals for no reason. Yeah the game is crap I get ya, but with game development software getting easier these days ..Have you ever considered doing a one shot version of your own??? I mean you can even make games on your PS4

Awful, really awful game, you have it in the right place on your list. Although there's an argument not being able to move in Sqij is less annoying than SuperGran. So sad for the millions and millions of supergran fans who were let down.
Honestly, I genuinely had to wrestle with putting it below Sqij. I may actual jettison Sqij into a 'broken' pile at some point - that being said... This is barely working.
