As said, it was very close to being a production car but the recession hit and the project was cancelled. They started from scratch and made the second nsx. It's an amazing car but it would have been nice to have this as well
Rumors are floating that Honda wants to bring the HSV to production (after nixing it in the past), but unfortunately not with the F1-sounding V8 here, rather a V10. This engine sounds amazing.
every time i watch a car video, i will go watch a clip of LFA and listen to the best exhaust on a road car. then i would come here and listen to the ultimate exhaust sound :P
And to think that the production NSX is a twin turbo v6 hybrid and it could have had this magnificent engine. Honda/Acura please stop screwing fans over by doing this type of dumb crap. Even if you had to tone this beast down, the sound would make up for a performance lack. Now in 2023 the nsx is gone🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
@Eddyatusabe no the HSV is not for sale which is the reason it was almost not allowed to race super GT. For super GT the car is supposed to be a current model of a existing car so it was almost shut down from the jump. But Honda does plan to release the car later when the economy gets better which is why it was allowed to race. They do not feel its a good time to release a super car with the economy the way it sits.
my guess honda will put out either the HSV or the acura NSX, i can't imagine this company going all in with these two AMAZING cars in this economy. both are crazy awesome, but i'm sure both are gonna be quite expensive. i f-ing love both lol honda FTW
This car originally was designed as the new NSX, but for some reason they decided not too. Maybe afraid not sales due to many stupid brainer will say “ it’s a honda” yet honda and toyota resale value higher than all manufactures!
