Last summer, we took our 5th wheel to Gold Beach, Oregon for several months. We just planted ourselves and made little side trips to Brookings and we did some hiking along the coast. Fabulous! It was sweater weather most of the time but we were escaping the heat of So Cal. I would love to do the same thing in Montana. Your brother seems like a great friend too. And I agree with 100% about not thinking about all the what-ifs when having an adventure. You have to work it out in your mind and just go do the adventure.
