Please don't ever go against your better instincts. These Air BNB can be sketchy. I Always fear a Kidnapping/robbery/ WORSE, especially in the scenario you spoke about. May the Lord continue to watch over and protect you .
I fell bad that it happened and put some inconvenience in your plans. But you are an inspiration - and I know things will always be okay because of faith.
This video was actually really interesting and entertaining to watch. I wasn't sure if I was going to be into your new channel or not, but I'm already hooked and wishing there were more videos I could click on to watch!
Man I’ve been watching your videos for over a year now. You have the best reviews and helped me pick my 5th wheel and I still watch your stuff bc it’s good. I hope you blow up. Cool video and cool channel idea. Good luck homie
You turned an aweful experience into an adventure. I feel you got what it takes to make it! I'm hooked and can't wait to see all of your adventures in traveling.
Thanks! I think that’s what makes life fun and exciting. Not all things will go exactly to plan, and I feel like I thrive the most when I’m forced to adapt quickly. I enjoy when things take a turn and I have no choice but to roll with it!
Would have loved to see a van tour! I know they may not have wanted to be interviewed but I find most van lifers are happy to talk about their rig 🥰 18:47 Just random little extras!
@@FirmlyUnbound seems like a great opportunity to add content! I started watching your channel months ago when we were looking for an RV to replace ours. And I'm loving your new channel so far! 🧡🧡🧡 Hope you and your family have a blessed Thanksgiving!!
I would do the same thing and at the end of your trip you will be happy with all the money you saved. Stay safe like the new channel and all your content.
@@FirmlyUnboundI couldnt believe you said "Hello?" at that Air B&B😄 If I had seen the mess and especially empty alcohol bottles, I would have hightailed it out of there so fast! Glad you were kept safe! I like your attitude of enjoying the problem solving part of unforseen challenging circumstamces. They are definitely opportunities to grow. That was great that you found a place where you felt safe to sleep in your car, and you turned your circumstance into a fun challenge, with knowlege you might use again in the future. FYI, I have had an experience with a "waterproof" cell phone getting totally wet, as in submerged, and I dried the charger opening with a hair dryer and gave it a little time to dry. It did come back to life! Did that component ever come back to life? Always be safe out there, and if something doesn't give you good vibes, don't hestitate to change your plans, even if it is disappointing to do so. That is fun to save that much money and realize it isn't too different from a tiny hotel room. You definitely are living firmly unbound! 🙂🙌 Also appreciate your openness and honesty of telling us your stepdad helped you out that first night. That says a lot about who you are to admit that. 😊 🙌
I watch all of your videos, you taught me about RV's and the one I will get. I'm glad your living unbound...he came to ser us free from bandage! Soooo Myles, it looks as though you could benefit from an RV huh??!?!?!
All the sacrifices that you have made says plenty about your character, and what you were made of. I certainly hope a tremendous amount of success comes your way always.
I am enjoying watching your journey of living in a truck for 2 weeks. Really impressed to see your TV set-up in the backseat with your Playstation too 👍👍👍 Do you actually have charging ports in your bed of your truck?????
hope you get this, i have been subscribed to the RV channel a little while but to Firmly Unbound since you started the channel. sure would be cool for an old guy to win a e bike. take care
Had you not said were you were at, i would have guessed eastern ky. Lol! Thats were i lived all my life and is totally normal here. Im also in process of selling and moving. Cant deccide rv to pull or drive or just apartment on the ocean. I hope your channel does well. Good luck!
This is an interesting and inspiring video with integrity and guts. I was actually just recently wondering how to live in a truck if necessary; Subscribed, brutha 🤘😎
10:31 Myles your tattoo of the three crucifixes or crosses linked together on the inner portion of your left bicep 💪🏽 is very meaningful and beautiful. I’m actually not positive if I am seeing or interpreting your tattoo correctly. I hope that I hear from you about your tattoo.
Enjoyed this video along with all your other ones. Been watching you and learning for quite a while now. I would love that e-bike!! I’m getting a rec van this summer and that would fit nicely! Pls pls pls pick me! 🙋♀️
Really enjoyed watching your video tonight. I’m all about saving money. So glad it’s not too hot or too cold for truck sleeping. Good luck in your adventures!
I think it was great but this is what I would have done. I would have gone to Walmart buy me an air mattress and get a pop-up tent attached to the back of your truck and sleep in your pop-up tent behind your truck. I don’t know if that would’ve been OK but it would’ve been comfortable. I’ve had to do that before and I think it worked out great for us.
This was a great video ! Love your other channel and your personality already so this flowed right in to fun to watch . Thought for sure you would end up in a small trailer loaner and who knows maybe you will . Take care and be safe !!
My Ram 3500 passenger crew area makes a perfect sleeper cab for me and my doglet. I took out the single seat, and use the lower area there for storage, and a pillow and blankie on top of that to level it out with me for Chewbie-girl. She also always has her own bed on the front passenger seat, so she does as she's inclined. I love my truck so much. It takes a little getting used to, but once you dial it in and acclimate physically, it is SO snuggley! I leave the other 2/3's of the rear seat in because it allows me to move pillows or blankies out of my way on top of them, which also blocks light, and I also like to sleep with my legs up and bent a little sometimes, and I can lean my knees either way. I can also stretch my legs completely *straight, tummy or back, with a slight angle change. I can even get a decent morning stretch in there before rising! I would love to have the mega cab, but they don't offer that with the 8 foot box, which was a must for me. The bigger the better, as far as I'm concerned. I use the foam from my favorite tri-fold futon, cutting one down to size. So it's really comfy and really light, and really easy to remove for vacuuming or rearranging. Even when I eventually get my pop up back pack for Big Red, I'll still sleep in my capsule in the cab. The ram has a retractable secondary floor back there when the seats are up, making a flat platform. I had to put a piece of particle board down to nullify a silly double cup holder in the middle of it, otherwise this princess notices that pea no matter what I do. LOL! I'm 5'7" and slender, so this is perfect for me. I don't want some big old box pretending it's an apartment. I like to compartmentalize. Big Red is just lifted enough to have a nice stance, and not easily looked in. However, with the reasonably tinted rear windows, and how sunken my sleeping platform is, you'd have to really be a nuisance, up on my floorboards. Nothing about Big Red suggests there is a rear sleeping capsule. I can slip into the driver seat as well, which is important to me. I currently live industrially, and I will NEVER pay traditional rent again. I'm practicing a lot right now for the future. Already have the $30 gym mem'. Thought you might find this interesting hon. Cheers, @Firmly Unbound.
My wife and I love your RV videos. At a matter fact we bought an RV after listening to you and guys like Josh from Bish.. don't want to be nosey but where's the wife on the adventure with you?
How do you power your electronics (computer, monitor,..) from your truck? Do you use the truck's battery, solar battery-generator, (Goal Zero, Jackery, Bluetti, ..), or some other method? Please elaborate. Steve, Utah
I am fortunate to have the iforce max version of the tundra which has a battery under the rear seat. I leave my engine on, however, it will shut off automatically and only power back on to charge the battery up for a bit, and then turn back off. So I can leave my truck running for hours and hours at a time, but the engine will only run a small fraction of the time.
Have you considered a truck camper? I’ve been looking at them lately but I have a full family. Space wise I think they’re perfect for single people or even couples.
@@FirmlyUnboundoh wow man, very sorry to hear that! My ex-wife and I divorced almost 4 years ago. Really sucked at first, but quickly realized it was the best thing I’ve ever done and probably should have done it sooner. We simply drifted apart and became friends more than husband/ wife. Now, I’ve been with my girlfriend for a year and a half and am the happiest I’ve ever been. I remember people telling me it would be fine, and I didn’t see the light. Boy was I wrong, and now I make sure to be the one to tell everyone that I promise it will be fine!
15:10 What does the tattoo mean inside your upper arm? I thought that it was a Christian Cross ✝️, but I’m not sure 🤔 This video was a truly excellent learning experience and a great lesson in living a simpler life. Thank you for sharing this with us because you could’ve hidden it and we wouldn’t have known but you would’ve felt extremely guilty.
@@FirmlyUnbound I thought that’s what it said, but awesome that it’s a passage that you live by! Thank you so much for answering my question. I’m just glad that a nasty commenter didn’t tell me to mind my own business.
Is there any KOA campsites around you? They allow tent camping and R.v. of course. I am sure they wouldn't question you. Or just go buy a 20 dollar tent! Then you would have laundry and showers. I'm at one now for a month in my rv trailer. So I get you about being free and having some struggles. It makes you feel like your "living". The day isn't mundane and the same and thoughtless. I been traveling from Florida to Wyoming to go live. No plans, no time frame..just trailer and two dogs. I bought apparently a lemon..I can't get propane to work stove or hot water. So never can get nice shower or wash hair without freeze head. Only using grey tank. Washed clothes finally in machine after two weeks..and not by hand. So...
@@kathykeene2092 was just giving a option that I bet no one thinks about. Then it turns into...yeah I could stay at national forests, and parks that have camp sites...ya know..there is apps too for ppl who have R.v.s and it shows you all the camp sites from free to $$$...it gets the brain working towards other options. I know he was happy with what he was doing. But I shared for others.
