You need to slide your finger to collect them, not tapping. If you tap, you waste a lot of starbits instead of collecting them. Tapping is used to stun enemies with starbits.

Thank you for explaining and showing how all these work on a lite. I was worried that the galaxy wouldnt work on the lite and im glad to hear that it does. I must admit that im still on the fence about this game though. I still have some time to decide if i want it or not.

I'm glad galaxy works on switch lite, I was worrying it would just not work but it seems I just tap the star bits and stuff which in my opinion is just as good if not better# also I'd recommend dragging your finger on the screen to grab the star bits, if you keep tapping it'll start throwing them so it's useless to grab them

Regards from a fellow Puertorican! I’m still here, been following you for a couple years now, don’t regret it! I’m a little tight right now, moving from Delaware to Ohio soon, and I don’t know if I should get this, Zelda prequel coming in November, or wait for the Immortals Fenyx Rising game from Ubisoft. So many games, so little money! 😆 Also next gen is knocking the door.. AHHHHH!!

You can triple jump as well... the camera part is for you to get a better view of everything... not taking pictures.

How does Super Mario 64 look on the lite? It seem serviceable, but is it too small on a Lite? I’m on the fence between a Lite and a switch and I need to make sure.

I never played these games until today. Mario 64 is driving me crazy with the camera controls. I hope Sunshine and Galaxy have better camera controls. I'm stuck on world 1:4 because I keep falling off ledges due to the poor camera.

check out the unofficial mario 64 PC/Switch Port. Fixes everything wrong with the lazy 3d all stars version

@@Mickeyink I'm getting used to it being terrible and trying my best to work with it. I'm getting better but still dying needless, insane deaths because of a bad camera. Lol. I am really enjoying the game though otherwise.

@@76biggdogg 64 uses the C Buttons, Sunshine uses the C Stick while Galaxy uses the D-pad on the Wii Remote.

I can’t . Right after I got the game super Mario odyssey joycon came with the console starting to rift so I have to play on tv mode with pro controller

sorry if this has been asked/answered before, but in the case of Mario Galaxy how do u play the levels that use giroscope (i.e: manta ray levels & rolling ball ) with 3rd party controllers without giroscope?

What makes it more of a cash grab too is the fact that Sunshine got a widescreen treatment although that game was also in 4:3 ratio just like SM64..pure laziness, yes.

They should have stretched it out till the bars at the top was gone leaving only the side. the aspect ratio would have still been the same

@Harry that still dont change the fact that you have less screen. thats like saying that downgrading from a 40inch tv from a 50 inch tv and noticeable. sure you get used to it but its smaller

I didnt realize the bars of mario 64 on dock mode, but when i play on handheld mode i was exactly the same as you, it was devastating, nintenso should fix that cuz i dont care so much the aspect but bars on top and down besides the sides bars, its not good optimization, apologize for my bad spelling.

That’s because this is the OG Nintendo 64 version of the game, not the unofficial PC release of the game

The lite for me is a better portable option because of its size and the fact that it blends easier when playing out in the public.

You’re not losing any picture with the black bars and the 4:3 aspect ratio in 64. With Sunshine and Galaxy you ARE actually losing picture with the way they achieved the 16:9 aspect ratio.

Galaxy never had black bars and while technically you are losing some of the picture in sunshine, that's only the cutscenes and the rest of the gameplay actually has a way wider and clearer picture than the GameCube version.

Sunshine gameplay was never a native 16:9 aspect ratio, so you lose picture when you make a 4:3 native picture into a 16:9 without just stretching it and distorting the image which they definitely didn’t do.

@@DennisMII I know they didn't do that, so I was right with galaxy and sunshine then. They could have made 64 in widescreen but just got lazy with it while they actually made sunshine look and feel great in widescreen. Hopefully there's a update that adds the feature because that just seems dumb not to do with 64 while they did it for sunshine.

Yes, obviously you may have these games already or you may have emulated them on your PC, but having them on the go is so good, think about the days of the DS having Mario Galaxy on the go was a dream and now look roughly 15 years later and it's here 👍👍👍👍 hoped this helped

I wasn't hating on nintendo back then, but most people were definitely switching to the new undisputed king of gaming, Sony. Tekken, Crash Bandicoot, Final Fantasy 7, NFL Gameday, NBA Shootout, Gran Turismo, SoTN, Tomb Raider, Resident Evil, Silent Hill, and just so many more to smoke the competition with. On to the first boss of Mario 64....if you can't hit him in the front, hit him from the back.....mind blown, right? lol. And on Mario Galaxy, having to tape on the screen every 3 seconds seems like it would become annoying, very fast.

Hi, you can go to the switch settings and setup zoom screen and assign it to home button I think to help with Mario 64. Also this bundle should be 30 bucks max.

Getting a wii and mario Galaxy might be cheaper, but sunshine is expensive today and you will need a gamecube controller. And for 64, the wii version is unavailable today.
