If anybody is wondering what the "le searching for Power" is, it's actually text string 0195, which is when you put on Wario's cap as another character for the first time (I think). It cuts off the first three letters, as it does for the rest of the level names (the full word is "While"). They all either have a number with 1 or 2 spaces at start of their strings, or just 3 spaces. It also happens to be above Bob-omb Battlefield's level name string as well. The "ing file..." on the pause screen is text string 0295 (Saving file...). Like before, the first 3 letters are cut off.
0:03 "le searching for Power" This is a mistake. It is mapped to the text that shows up whenever Yoshi grabs a Mario Cap for the first time: "While searching for the Power Stars, you found a red cap. Put it on and voila! You suddenly look just like Mario!" Since the developers weren't caring so much about the text in the TEST room, when they wrote the text for the game, the data for the name of the room changed to the text already in the game. In this case, text that happens only once.
It's not, though. Any level in the game is accessible with any character. (except Yoshi not being able to go into big boo's haunt, etc.) But even then you still can go in big boo's haunt as Yoshi with map select.
i access on this map with cheats and another with a block purple but with nothing and my theory is this block is for walugi but was not implemented due to lack of time or because the nds could not bear more weight
3:29 " 水 " (Blue Tile) means " Water " 2:02 " 砂 " (Yellowish Grey Tile) means " Sand " 2:18 " 花 " (Yellow tile) means " Flower " 2:18 " 雪 " (White tile) means " Snow " 2:18 " 土 " (Deep Brown Tile) means " Dirt " 2:19 " 木 " (Light Brown Tile) means " Wood " 2:19 " 冰 " (Light Blue Tile) means " Ice " 2:15 " 草" (which is written in upside down) (Green Tile) means " Grass " 2:14 " 無 (which is written in upside down) (Purple Tile) means " Nothing " Edit: 10 July 2020 2:16 岩 (which is written in sideway) (Grey Tile) means "Rock"
I remembered seeing this level back in the days on RU-vid with some typical old school RU-vid metal song in the background! XD Maaaan.... You don't wanna know how long I was looking for this level! I couldn't find it! XD Now, many many many years later.... I see this video and I almost forgot about it! Did I know back then that this was a test level! XD Nice video and thanks for the nostalgia!
Yeeep. I remember seeing this as a kid and thinking that this was something that you could unlock by getting all the stars or something. I wanted to play in this level so badly. Haha Games felt so much more wondrous back then, viewed through the lenses of a child.
@@jamesonfl7723 are you stupid or something? Good for you in thinking you’re some smart ass in RU-vid comments. Go get that damn dictionary and educate yourself jack ass liminal is a perfect word to describe the atmosphere of the level
I just went on this level on iNDS (iOS Nintendo ds emulator) from the cheats menu that came with the rom I installed on it. It’s pretty interesting. Also went on test room 1 with it too
I remember back in 2008 when i had thw action replay DS there was a cheat/hack to emulate/simulate the backwards long jump from original SM64 ported to DS
I remember playing this map when I was like 8 years old. I had the European version of the game, and I remember that when pausing a writing “Vataggio” appeared. I’m still confused about what it should mean.
Nintendo Gamer Over 9000 you need a code that is already included in the emulators, which is like a kind of cheat with the name of "Test map 2" and is more like for Android cell phones
What the hell are you talking about “mainly on Android”. This is a simple Action Replay code for a debug menu. Stop spreading bullshit if you don’t know what you are talking about.
There unused objects that contain the Mario, Luigi, and Wario caps. It's possible that during development, the caps were gonna be in those blocks rather than lying on the ground or having a goomba wear them.
