If you look closely in-game, Mario doesn't hit his head on the blocks. His fist is raised - he punches the blocks. Interesting Nintendo approved the commercial this way.

Esse é um dos poucos videos que conseguem me convencer pela estética que é algo que saiu realmente naquela época. Animação muito bem feita! Detalhe para o fato da paleta de cores do Mario estar condizente a como era naquela época(com roupa azul, macacão vermelho e cabelo preto). Edit: seria legal ver uma versão da animação de introdução sem o filtro de televisão!
