Super Mario Bros. 3 - All Boss Fights & Ending (No Damage) 

This is exactly how I like to see boss matches. Let the boss show what he can do and then kill him. Every other channel kills the bosses way too fast

My favorite 2D Mario Platformer hands down. Still a masterpiece and it still holds up today.

Koopalings: 0:30 World 1 (Larry Koopa) Larry is the most basic one, only moving toward Mario and shooting his magic wand if he's far away. Rarely jumps outside of damage, but jumps high. 1:24 World 2 (Morton Koopa Jr.) Morton, instead of the approach that Larry takes, rarely uses his wand, and instead opts to make a dash at Mario. He also does a medium jump somewhat frequently. 2:43 World 3 (Wendy O. Koopa) Wendy summons bouncing rings instead of regular magic, and spawns one each time she's damaged. She walks across the arena and often skips and jumps. Her jump when in her shell is notably smaller than the previous. 4:07 World 4 (Iggy Koopa) Iggy is similar to Larry, but with some differences, and can be thought as a harder version. His arena tends to be erratic, and very frequently jumps around, making hitting him difficult, but he uses his wand less frequently. If he does however, he generally does so in bursts of 3. 5:40 World 5 (Roy Koopa) Roy is unique, as every time he lands on the ground, he creates a stunning ground shake, causing Mario to be unable to move. He also makes 2 very short successive jumps when damaged. He also only uses his Wand if he's either close or far away from Mario. Generally regarded as a harder version of Morton. 7:39 World 6 (Lemmy Koopa) Lemmy, like Wendy, has a unique wand projectile, spawning bouncing circus balls instead of magic. He also balances on a ball himself, leading to him being taller, and moves as if he's trying to keep his balance while still, causing him to be difficult to hit. He also doesn't jump, and he spawns all the balls at once instead when he's damaged. The balls he spawns can be stomped on without damage, but they bounce very high. Also regarded as a harder version of Wendy. 9:11 World 7 (Ludwig Von Koopa) Ludwig is a sort of combination of the previous 6 Koopas. His arena is even more erratic than Iggy's, he does 2 higher jumps when damaged, every time he lands he spawns quakes, sometimes he spams his wand in bursts of 2 or 3, while other times he dashes for Mario, and he often jumps randomly outside of damage. Generally regarded as the most difficult of the 7.

Weird how Bowser doesn't stun Mario when he pounds the floor, but two of his children do.

Arguably the best classic 2D Mario platformer

I love how you could kill almost all of the fortress bosses by stumping on them as soon they approach and instantly after they react again, it takes less than 10 seconds

This will always be my favorite Mario game of all time. I was almost 4 when I got this game. Only ever beat it once back then. I conquered it many more times over the years.

Thank you for not doing silly "speedruns" of the bosses. This is much better for showing the AI, and it's actually more impressive for the player anyway to survive like that.

Just a word of advice... You can use fireballs to take out Boom Boom, the Koopalings & Bowser quicker. The Hammer Bros Suit also works & is even more powerful than the Fire Flower & can even take out lava fireballs Bullet Bills, Buzzy Beetles, Boos & Thwomps.

They recently added the Koopalings in Mario Maker 2. Disappointed that Roy and Ludwig don't shake the ground with basic jumps anymore. They do a ground smash randomly that has the same effect, but it's not the same. They don't even have their low jumps that sometimes throw players off guard.

Wendy is my favourite Koopaling... and she was hilarious in the cartoon as Kootie Pie.

Ironically enough, boom boom has had more boss battles than anyone else in the game

Hard game easy bosses. Heck really the only boss that feels like a boss is the main boss of World 8. You actually need to trick him into defeating himself. All the other ones are just dodge and stomp. Well it is a definite improvement over SMB1 where you were fighting Bowser and his clones.

None of the bosses in this game have black outlines. In fact, Boom Boom’s maroon skin is just the replacement for black in castle and underground sections. That means that, if he were to be put in an outdoor level, he would have black skin. I’m pretty sure the absence of black is what allows the Koopalings and Bowser to have unique color palettes not displayed on the normal enemies. So yeah. Nintendo “cheated” when giving Boom Boom and Bowser black outlines in SMM when they didn’t have them in the original game.
