Mario starts his journey, about to save the princess. He walks to the first level, yet all his memories flash before him. He falls into a cruel afterlife. He doesn't remember anything, so he believes that he is still alive. This is mario's purgatory.
8:03 "So, i was peacefully playing SMB 3 in my room, then i wanted to go to a random level, but instead of being a normal one, this one was very weird, there was only 4 colours, green, black, grey and white. I didn't know what to do, Mario was standing on a moving platform, there was no enemies, no power-ups, nothing. I tried to fell out the platform, but instead of dying, the platform teleported right on my feets, i wasn't able to do anything, i weren't able to reset, pause, or shut down the console, the only way to escape this hell was only wait to the timer to run out of time, but instead of loosing and then normaly shut down, the level started to corrupt very badly, some weird colours started to appear on the screen, the sprites were mixing in a very weird way, and then it stopped corrupting and i gone to the first level, but i wasn't able to move Mario, a goomba was slowly getting closer to me, and then it killed me, playing a creepy sound of Mario screaming and lots of stabbing sounds. Then it appeared a creepy Game Over screen with Mario bleeding on a weird place, the worse thing is that it wasn't Bowser's castle, it was some kind of abandoned house with lots of blood in the walls and the floor, the Game Over screen didn't want to dissappear as long as i wanted, then a weird message appears saying the next thing: (It seems that Mario got horribly killed by a enemy, if you want to leave this Game Over screen, you must do the next thing: Get a candle or a flashlight, go downstairs and check the living room and the kitchen, try to find the 5 hidden Mario mini-figures and put then over the console, if you did it correctly and in less of 5 minutes, you will be able to leave this horrible nightmare and turn off the console, if don't. You'll be stuck in the console for the entire life. Good luck!). I was very terrified, and i didn't want to get stuck in a console, so i quickly got my flashlight, tried to find the 5 hidden Mario mini-figures, i found one under the sofa, another one behind the TV the third one in some kind of desk thing, and the fourth one in the kitchen desk, but i didn't see the fifth one anywhere, i searched everywhere, under the desk, inside the oven, on the utensils thing but i didn't found anything, i was already worried and i had 1 minute left to find the last one, i've heard a weird sound on the living room, there was some kind of robot thing with ears and a tail, i didn't want to say something because it would probably kill me, but instead, with their creepy and glowy claws pointed for me the last Mario mini-figure. I sucsesfully found it, and then the weird robot thing dissappeared, then i've gone to my room, put the five mini-figures over the console and then the message said this: (Congratulations! You found all the 5 hidden Mario mini-figures, feel free to turn off the console). Then i instantly, with no regrets, threw my console to the window and wrecked it with a hammer. I won't ever play SMB 3 ever..." I didn't copy somebody's commentary, i just took inspiration to make this one. And do not worry, this isn't true, is just a fictional thing that i invented :3 Also, sorry for the _TERRIBLE_ grammar, i wasn't kinda intelligent back then lol
I love the idea of this, good job on the creepypasta. Also was the robot with claws, ears and a tail a reference to your protogen fursona? Cause if so that was a nice touch to include a little Easter egg of yourself. I had a nightmare as a kid, I beat Bowser and once I entered the room where the princess was supposed to be, the graphics were glitchy and all messed up. I was still controlling Mario and it terrified me. I woke up and that scene kinda haunted me since then. I recall the graphics pretty vividly. Every once in a while I come to these corruption vids, fearing that I'll eventually meet again that scene from my nightmare.
I know I'm late but if it makes you feel any better I once had a nightmare that had to do with Cooking Mama when I was little. In the nightmare I was playing one of the games on my DS then messed up a recipe which caused her to do that flame eye thing but when I closed the DS out of fear she showed up through the casing of it and it scared me into waking up
