The long jump was hard at first.. but you will get the sweet spot. I usually use sprint then control the movement in mid air.

Idk if this will help anyone but if you're having trouble with the long jump, once you have the star, hold B and press A. The reason why is because B makes you faster. Although I'm playing on my Switch, so if you don't have that, I'm sorry.

I finally understood how to do the longest jump but I still can't pass this level. I would say it is the second most difficult level after 8-4 but the longest level I think is this the time that gave to me isn't enough to pass it if you agree with me just tap a 👍 if you want

When I was a teenager, it took me FOREVER to get past 8-1, but finally did, then saved the Princess pretty quickly afterward. Now, as a 48 year-old man, I am having problems with 8-1 again. lol It's all about "timing" for the really long jump.

Oh no. This level is way too long. There’s not enough time. 😢 I learned how to go from 1-4 (I think) via the vine and warp zone to 8-1, but this level is mega challenging.

I just realised how to do this properly) You need to hold "speed" button, and don't let go, when you are pressing the "jump" button. Now I can use this trick to jump to the highest point of the flag at the end)

Super Mario Bros World 8-1.

Theres a glitch ive just did in 8-1 where that black tortoise thingy...where i jump on it and jump away from it...i go under the floor and he slides to the right and just dies.... Today is the 15/08/2022 and time now is 6pm.... If anyone can replicate that glitch...id like to do it again cos i want it to be logged as a glitch across the net.... Its the position where theres 2 coins and that single black tortoise thingy.... And theres a big gap on the floor..... Before the 2 coins theres a small staircase leading up to the black tortoise

I have no problem with the long jump but it's landing on that tiny sliver that is killing me

When I was busying with killing those Goombas and Koopas with a fire flower and went to the secret pipe with those coins inside and then I was jumping on a block that contains a Starman and I did the Sonic run and the time that is running out fycking killing me out for life!!! 🤬
