"Hop Stop Swamp" is my latest custom Super Mario Bros. Wonder level which features Hoppycats, Pokipedes, ON/OFF blocks and platforms that move along tracks. The original video showing off this level was taken down by Nintendo, so I've decided to reupload it.

Good god this is still being your best use of a Wonder effect yet. Time as a mechanic in videogames have always fascinated me, I hope it can still be used for future levels.

I can think of a reason it's a favorite! 🖐🏻 it's probably a combination of the brilliant and creative use of underutilized mechanics, the shrewd combination of elements that are otherwise prose to not working well with other level elements (as illustrated in your making of video), and the brilliant realization of a wonder effect done perhaps better than the game itself. Also the swamp theme is gorgeous and its music is amazing so that doesn't hurt!

@@jonathandillon2100 Kinda, it was a mix of Sunbaked Desert's game-speed switching and Shining Fall's giant Hoppy-Cat effects

It's been a long while since I played Wonder, but these custom levels reminded me that I think this game is very very nice. I think a DLC pack for levels would do this game a lot of good, with so many ideas there are for levels, I also miss the way multiplayer collision worked on NSMBW and others....

This is amazing! I have also noticed you haven’t made any Deep Magma Bog levels or Shining Fall levels so here is an idea. Deep Magma Bog Level that uses outmaways, lava bubbles, and enemies that shoot projectiles with the crystal blocks from that konk level. The wonder effect is that it freezes over, making all the crystals turn into ice and making the ground slippery.

I remember you talking about the first boss fight of the game that the wonder effect is mainly shrinking and growing the foreground, is it possible to modify that into a full level?

I don't think so, no, the entire boss room is a single object that is pre-programmed to shrink and grow, I don't think its feasible to make that work for an entire level.

I think Mario wonder is a good game just not anything amazing it was a step in the right direction I just don’t think the level design was as good as the heights of the series (3 & World)
