@@jeremiahhester6408 This was the video that led me to the original AVGN videos when he was the Angry Nintendo Nerd. This was the first video of its kind I ever saw and it led me down a rabbit hole I've never crawled out of. Come to think of it, it kinda ruined my life...
This was so far ahead of its time. The commentary, the rage inducing "Mario Maker" level design I originally saw this off of youtube even. Truly one of the best pieces of internet history and comedy.
This is the VERY FIRST video I EVER saw on RU-vid.... I was so obsessed with it that I recorded it on a fake phone so I could listen to it over and over again even when I wasn't near a computer... Words cannot express how happy I was to find this again, and how grateful I am for the memories I was able to create because of this video... THANK YOU OP!!! 💚💚💚
yeah sad people don't make these kind of videos anymore... probable the youtube add-pocolips, demonetizations, and new algorithms... sigh who remembers youtube before google owned it and before the adds?
Around the age of 4-6 years old i discovered YT, Found this video, because i often searched "super mario" and loved building the sprites out of lego's, and watching people animate them, i watched this, and its one of the best videos on the internet of all time, i don't care what people say, this is a legend to me, and those who share this experience.
*MOST MEMORABLE QUOTES:* 00:00 ; _"Alright. _*_Nintendo._*_ We're gonna do this. We're gonna play this video game, you and me Mario; we're gonna go find the princess. She's gonna be grateful. She's gonna- she's gonna give you a kiss and-for next thing you know you're gonna get laid tonight."_ 00:30 ; _"WHAT? What are you doing there?! You belong in the water, there's no water here."_ 00:48 ; _"Fuck you, Blooper."_ 00:56 ; _"Fuck, the little hole... I didn't go in.. the.. fucking hole."_ 01:05 ; _"We jump; hit the Blooper; in the hole! Ho-yeah! Fuck you, yes!"_ 01:18 ; _" _*_WHAT?!_*_ Who put that there?! Where did that come from?"_ 01:58 ; _"Couple of push-ups here, yeah, yeah. Yeah!"_ 02:04 ; _"Yes! I'm the man. I'm the man, fuck you."_
he wasnt actually playing the game here. he mentioned in a video somewhere that he just found this video while in college or something and was bored and decided to do commentary on it like he was playing it.
I must've first seen this when I was like, 11 years old. This video is a classic! Everything about it is legendary! The commentary, the gameplay. This guy, with a little trial and error, is actually pretty good at this game. Good shit, man.
He makes every mistake, falls for every single trap/obstacle the game puts in his way, but always learns from them and actually makes pretty steady progress throughout the levels.
It's pretty simple. Republican voters aren't restricted from posting RU-vid comments so you're bound to find some comments by folks with really vile and twisted world views.
@@snakeywakey3893 Did you know you can actually play the game yourself? It's called mario forever, I downloaded it and loaded it onto my rg351v. It's surreal playing the same game this guy was playing.
Holy shit. I loved MySpace back in the day before it tried to be another Facebook. No one ever talks about it, so it's nice to see other MySpace people in the wild.
Things this is worse than... An R.L Stine book An episode of Family Guy Panic! At The Disco Ann Coulter Reading RU-vid comments The Da Vinci Code (both the novel by Dan Brown and the film) Anything that's ever happened
If only this guy had became a full time game streamer back then, he would have probably made it big like in the ranks of Markiplier, jacksepticeye and so on
Bold of you to assume Markiplier and Jacksepticeye are on this guy’s level. For as legendary as they are, in a single video this man has ascended beyond legend.
First, those you mentioned are both morons. Second, the guy doing commentary for this video isn't the actual original player of the level. He's just commentating on a previously recorded video. He's not really playing as he goes.
Prison Mike aww yeah! The time was so much simpler! 9/11 was soo simple! I‘m so glad that like 2000 people didn’t die! Marrying your same-sex-Partner was Soo Simple too!
It's crazy that I first saw this in middle school on the windows 2000, in the "computer room." Now I'm 31, married, with 5 kids, and I'm watching it on my trucks computer coming home from work
It's been 15 years and the quotes from this video are still hilarious. "Thank goodness I have W Blue Sky lives left!" "This is worse than an episode of Family Guy!" "This is worse than Panic! At The Disco!" "This is worse than reading RU-vid comments!" "You're breakin' my BAULZ, Mario!!!"
Back when YT was great, although I think this was originally uploaded in 2006. 06-08 were the peak years of RU-vid and I'm *SO* glad I got to experience and be apart of it all. Just teens and young adults doing whatever we wanted without people getting triggered by everything
I remember playing this. I sadly found out that there are no infinite lives. I got to the point in the 2nd level where you literally get to a wall. The only way across was to get above and run on the ceiling and I missed the way to ceiling earlier so I was out of luck.
I hereby decree that this piece of history shall be remembered by replying once a year at least, until the Internet breaks. Until all of our W Blue Sky lives are used up.
I have no idea what the first gaming commentary video was, but what I do know is this is the first one I ever watched. I watched this before I even knew what a "let's play" was.
I remember watching this in late 2007, I was a young boy and this was my first exposure to swearing at games, it's a testament to how such an old video and have such a lasting impact.
Me too, I literally asked my mom if fuck was a bad word. She asked to show me where I had heard it. I panicked and showed her the video the asian guy playing the SMB 1 overworld music on piano blindfolded, I told her he said it when he messed up. Ever since then the "f-word" has been embedded into my vocabulary.
yeah sad people don't make these kind of videos anymore... probable the youtube add-pocolips, demonetizations, and new algorithms... sigh who remembers youtube before google owned it and before the adds?
I’m 22, and this video is like one of my earliest internet memories, which I think literally introduced me to the f word😂 I didn’t even watch RU-vid, I was on some Mario fan site scrolling through a videos page with my sister. I think it was this and a bloody cgi shy guy fight scene I remember the most lol. Man, what a time, you literally had no idea what was out there and anything had the chance to impact you basically forever
I’m dead serious when I say this needs to be in some sort of museum of the internet. I watched this ages ago, and thought it was so funny, and to this day I still laugh when I watch it. I do remember though almost getting in trouble for watching this when I was little though, had to make sure my parents didn’t hear the swearing lol
Here's a little song i wrote, you might want to sing it note for note, don't worry, be happy in every life we have some trouble, when you worry you make it double don't worry, be happy
This video had me laughing my ass off so hard, I could barely breathe. Also, you are a true RU-vid veteran if you watched this video when it was released.
I remember watching this video when I was nine years old. It was my first ever exposure to SMB1. Finally, nearly ten years later, on September 6, 2022, I have found it again. The nostalgia is real.
This is fuckin worse than 1. 5:00 An RL Stine book 2. 5:12 Episode of Family Guy 3. 5:41 Panic at the Disco 4. 6:01 Ann Coulter 5. 7:52 Reading RU-vid Comments 6. 11:06 Da Vinci Code, both the novel by Dan Brown and the film 7. 14:32 Anything that has ever happened, this is a horsecok in his tiny mouth.
@@josehernandezmartinez8719 Welcome to a video that brings back the memories of when youtube wasn't a complete corporate clusterfuck filled with trash content. This video is one of the all time greats :)
