Technically, they are actors in a way. It's confirmed by Nintendo they like to think of the Mario characters as actors playing along with the story they have for them
@@DnalorGames You consider pumping out content farm waste like every cringy trend mashed together into clickbait, playing spooky spaghetti .Exe games, and poorly made h*ntai games, for an audience of 5/7 year olds "decent"? What even are your standards my man?
Man I hate it when people shame others for not having the same nostalgia. Like bruh, I’m sorry for being born later than you but that doesn’t mean I didn’t have good nostalgia. There is no better 😑
It's also interesting to note Luigi's face at the end of this. It gives the impression that he didn't know their true faces were hidden in a costume and that this Luigi isn't the same as the one in the original.
@@thisaccountisnolongeractive5 It's also really funny because Luigi's only singing part is the Overworld Theme for Super Mario Bros, not Super Mario World.
Still an absolute classic. If anyone is still wondering what "KY" means, it's shorthand for "Kuuki Yomenai" which effectively means "read the room/atmosphere".
At first I was like, "how come he's doing a remake of this obscure animation?" Then I realized you were the original animator, and I went nuts. You're amazing, dude! And of course, congratulations on your well deserved milestone!
@Mr. Graves I had no idea until now that Scott made that original animation those years ago. Yet it was such a massive oversight since it literally says at the beginning (oops). I gotta say I definitely preffered the original tho too. But I like how he incorporated anime Mario and Bowser like before.
Idk if it's just me but I feel like the original had a bit more soul somehow, even though I watched the remake first.. I think it's that bowser just looks like a blocky robot lol
new things can have soul (or rather spirit) what gives a thing spirit, is the spirit that are imbued in it by its creator in addition with the quality of the materials used to make it. But the key is, does this thing point us towards the divine, (that is lift our spirit) or does it point towards the infernal (lowers our spirit).
It's crazy how you managed to fill this with memes, and yet it still feels like a genuine, heartfelt tribute. I often forget you made the original. Crazy to see how far you've come.
See, it works because he uses the memes where they make contextual sense. Which is clever instead of a forced attempt to appeal to whoever (which is also the exact practice he’s making fun of)
For some reason I've always loved the warped voice done for Luigi in this. Its so chaotic. Grats on the million, glad to see the legacy of Hyadain lives on for another generation to grow up with.
I feel like nobody is talking about the neat visual gag with the Unregistered HyperCam 2 when Fury Bowser shows up, but a awesome millstone special, congrats on the scribers
I know the Unregistered HyperCam 2. Those were the old RU-vid times back in the 2000s. Unregistered Hypercam 2 is the nostalgia-based Internet culture and it's becoming popular for representing the old RU-vid. Many people were using the cam screen recorder to record the screen. After the screen was recorded, the watermark was shown on the top left due to it being free. No paying. When I see videos in 2000s on RU-vid, they've used Hypercam 2 to record on-screen. People will know the name of the cam screen recorder.
I can't begin to describe the feeling when Bowser and Mario removed their masks and were in the original's style Well done sir, and congrats!!! So glad you're still at it making content after all these years
I think my favorite thing about this is that not only does it refer to the version Scott made way back when, but it also pulls up poses and scenes from the even _older_ version that Scott based his off. Most notably, the princess peach pose at the end wasn't in Scott's version, but was in the older version. Also, the fact that they're people in costume is (possibly unintentionally, but you never really know) a direct callback to that original original animation too.
I can’t get over the absolute perfection in Luigi harmonizing with himself. And of course, the animation is freaking incredible! I only vaguely remembered the original before seeing the comparison but this really blows it out of the water. Amazing job!
"Oh he updated the models to be with his normal Mario style now. That's cool but also a little sad, I was really hoping he'd bring back the old anime versions- *MY BOYS!!!"*
This made me so happy because I LOVED your original take on this way back in the day when I was in high school!! 💗 Never knew I’d end up working with you in the future 😭 congratulations again on a million subs Scott!! 💗
This made me so unreasonably happy. I remember when I first saw this on Newgrounds and I've been with you ever since! Congrats on 1Mil Scott, you deserve every single one and many, many more!
@@supremechaosbeing2696 He means the CC button, not Scotts OC. CC has other meanings too, in this case, Closed Captioning. So turn on youtubes substitles. It's actually spot on for this vid.
This feels like I'm going back to the 2000s, watching Newgrounds animations again like Rise of the Mushroom Kingdom and Super Mario Bros Z. I miss my Newgrounds days when I was at a young age! Congratulations on 1 million subscribers, ScottFalco. After you have done making videos for 13 years, you have finally reached a milestone! It's a long journey.
BROOOOOO seeing the humanized mario and bowser caught me off guard and brought me back, it's so cool to have seen your style evolve from back then! thanks for the years of content dude!
I used to sing this to my mom when I was around 9 or 10. Didn't even know you made the original so finding this out blew my mind. You did an amazing job!
I was smiling from ear to ear when you referenced your first version of the animation. I've been watching you since the first version of Mario Hyadin, and seeing your growth as an animator and your road to 1mil on YT has been a decade long blast. Just another one of many, but I'm really happy for you dude. Thank you for this.
Damn. The nostalgia hit me like a ton of bricks. I remember watching the original back in the mid-late 2000s (although I was only like 6 or 7 at the time) and it's so bizarre and fascinating seeing you do a complete overhaul of it! All I can say is congratulations on 1 million Scott. I've already watched your content for many years now, and I plan to for many more to come.
And just like that I felt like I was 9 years old again hearing this song, you've come a long way Scott congratulations on hitting 1 million subs you rock.
Just a reminder this was the same guy who made the original animation. If this video gave you a "I was today years old when I remembered...." moment, now you know. I sure as hell did. Glad to see a master updating his magma opus.
Goddamn it’s been a ride. From general animations, sig and tessa, overwatch, side of salt, speedruns and beyond, thank you for making such awesome fucking content dude for the community. Here’s to 2 million!
This made me smile so much! What has it been, like 13 years since the original. Time flies, literally half my life ago. Seeing the original designs you used pop up put the biggest grin on my face. And Luigi freaking out at the end is even better. Thank you for all the fun content over the years.
Man seeing this redone really reminds me of how long you've really been in the game... over a decade now and I still remember stumbling across the original on NG. Refinding you through the Bomberman shorts. And now again on this platform. Glad to see you make it this far
Ah, a classic has returned to us. Now we just need someone to animate all of Hyadains Dragon Quest songs like this. But seriously, this ruled. Congrats on 1 Mil. Gotta love the lil "Unregistered by HyperCam 2" gag too, ya sneaky bastard.
Wow, I loved everything about this, from remaking in a new way that isn’t just updating the quality, the throwback to the characters designs from your first video, Invincible, and just, everything! Beautiful, nostalgic work! I hope you didn’t cringe too hard making this!
Calling it now: This is gonna become one of the top 10 most viewed videos on this channel within the next 2 years. History always repeats itself, so that’s exactly what happens next.
now that an actual mario movie is coming out, we need a version of this with footage from the movie. or imagine if someone could get the movie voice actors to perform it!
I had no idea you animated that particular Hyadain video back in the day! I've only just subscribed a few days ago but I never forgot about that! Hehe small world on the net I guess!
The shoutouts in to the old animation are amazingly done! Seeing this really helped cheer me up after a stressful day, thanks for all your animations, Scott, they always bring a smile to my face.
I was just singing this in the kitchen when I decided to give it another listen on youtube and was so happy to see you did an animation for it. its one of his best song.
What a blast from the past. I remember jamming out to this in middle and high school. You've really come a long way Scott but it's nice to appreciate the classics now and then.
Yay, glad to see that Count Bleck didn't get cut!! I watched your old version so many times in middle school, so it's wonderfully nostalgic to see a remake! Was delighted to see that you returned to the former way of drawing Mario and Bowser in the in-between chats!!
