saw this back then but good grief this moment, 2:09 Mario sure has the W I D E S T pants there.... almost look like his lowerhalf is just a blob of pants(I can't unsee it now)...lol. a classic "yeap, I'm not puting any detail into a static scene that is going to go on for more than a second and everyone's eyes will be looking on it" we all have that moment back when we don't have the "eye in quality" and just want to get this out for everyone to watch lmao. Also congratz on the 1mil subs!!!
From the Costumes referencing the Original animated Faces to the nod to Mario and Luigi’s Omni Man Meme, this Video really shows how far ScottFalco has come.
@@IDontKnowAnymore71725 doesn’t have anything to do with the OG comment, Bashurverse was a RU-vidr who had an unfortunate encounter with career killer Keemstar, disappeared for several years to work on their mental health, and had recently been revealed by close friends to have died from COVID.
Man seeing them side by side, you can really see how fantastic your animation has gotten. Before it was still good, but is much more stylized, expressive and polished now. We are all so proud of you Scott, and I'm glad I've been watching you for all these years since the old flash animations
Not gonna lie, I thought about that original animation pretty consistently over the years (as recently up to a week ago, in fact), so when a friend told me you'd redone it after all this time, I dropped everything to watch it. The old days of newgrounds are really fond memories for me and it brightens my day to see your work even after all this time. Happy 1 million subs and best wishes to keeping up the great work!
It's such a nice detail that the original characters are reprising their roles inside the Mario and Bowser costumes. Each version definitely has their charms!
I've watched this multiple times, and I've come to realize why it's enthralled me so much. Scott has just come such a long way, advancing his artstyle into something unique, and has gone through so many different phases and had ultimately come out better from it, but you still acknowledge your roots. I just want to say, I wish you never give up hope Scott Falco.
I think the most insane thing is how you unexpectedly became a huge part of internet nostalgia for many of us as kids exploring early RU-vid/Nico Nico Douga days, and most of us never even put two and two together after following your content in recent years that you were the same creator
even tho it says in the fews few seconds ''A short flash by Scott Falco'' only notice that when i rewtached the original some years ago after finding Scott on youtube
Wierdly enough, I put two and two together before the remake, but it was still years later when I was going through my liked videos and I noticed who the uploader was...
Same. I used to watch it almost daily bc the music was cool and I was learning english, years later I found scott and on one of his videos he casually pointed out that he was the one who made the flash video. AND NOW IT'S BACK, BABYY
This was such a treat to watch all over again and redone in your current style you've come such a long way. Keep having fun and love for what you do no matter what.
@@williamfalls True. Though I imagine it would’ve felt a tad out of place since the 3 of them were stacking in the same camera shot. So Princess Peach would’ve been talking to neither of them with her finger point. Either way it still looks great
The nostalgia is real with this one, I remember watching this when I was like 5 years old, and just like so many others, I didn’t know you made the original. When this came up in your odyssey video I didn’t remember what it was called but remembered the art style very vividly, thanks for the awesome remake and a trip down memory lane!
Man I remember I used to watch this on newgrounds with my friend back when I was kid. We would watch this and catch the new Super Mario Bros Z. Episode when they came out. Man it’s so cool animated work reimagined in this new style that’s more inline with what they do now, even with super Mario bros Z too! I remember when I got older following Scott’s channel and I went back to watch Super Mario Hyadan and saw his name in the credits and absolutely flipped! I completely forgot, so it’s super cool to see this done. Thanks Scott you brought a huge smile to my face
*The fact that I got this in my recommended, just like the old one years back, makes me so happy* Thank you Scott, for making our childhood 100 times better ❤
I always remembered the original being a bit more high-quality, but seeing the side-by-side really shows your massive improvement in your animation skills over the past decade. Congrats on hitting 1 million, Scott! Can’t wait to see what you do next!
The glow-up is absolutely amazing! It shows everyone how much you’ve improved, and also shows just how much you deserve this 1 million! Congratulations Scott!
I love that the anime versions pop back in during the talking in between verses its a fun way to reintroduce your original designs from the og video. You have come a long way my guy keep it up.
I love knowing you've been able to continue doing what you love throughout over the past decade. Congratulations, Scott. And thanks for all the work you do.
My younger self was absolutely obsessed with the original video and I would watch it daily. A week ago I rediscovered the original saved to my old RU-vid account favorites and again, I've been replaying it everyday. I'm now pleasantly surprised to find that you've made a newer version! I'll probably start watching the new version on a daily basis too! 😁
You do not know how happy seeing this new rendition of a golden oldie made me ive been watching your videos since the first version of this video and ive been a fan ever since
It's amazing to see how your animation has evolved over the years. I remember finding the original not too long after it was released, but I don't think I had followed you on any of my accounts until well after, to the point where I kinda forgot that this was your animation. Great work!
There was one day a year or two ago where I said “I’m just gonna watch everything Scott has on this channel,” I don’t remember this absolute gem being here, but I had seen it before. And so last night when the original previewed I got hit with nostalgia and just smiled the whole time through. Hope you get over that cold soon Scott, and I hope you enjoy the well earned time off
Man, I don't recall seeing this animation back when I was young, I feel like this is a way bigger deal than what I thought. Regardless, it's really cool to see how the animation style changed with time!
I have off and on thought about this video for years but couldn't remember the name of it. I was starting to convince myself it had been a fever dream because none of my friends remembered it. I listened to it so many time back in the day and I'm glad to hear it once again.
I may not be the greatest with words but, looking at both is honestly really charming, and both still have this hint of being the same man who did them, and that he has gained much experience and is proud of his refinement in skill. I probably trying to hard to explain what I see, but nonetheless its always amazing to see artist from where they started and where they are now, its truly an amazing thing to see. Keep up the amazing work Scott!!
Admittedly, I've never even seen Scott's original animated one before. The first (and only) one I saw was the one originally uploaded on Hyadain's channel when he first released the song
I feel sad that Hyadain the original creator of this song and that actually original music video, just vanishes in the comment section like it doesn't exist
The happiness I feel seeing this gem come back 😭❤️ I remember back in the day showing this to all my friends and watching on repeat! THANK YOU FOR THIS
I can’t believe that the original was made by you, it’s unbelievable to see not only the improvement but also just how much of a nostalgia rush this was to see/hear again.
I wish I want to go back to my Newgrounds days in the 2000s. This comparison? Watching this new and old animation? The way I see it, it's called development. You've come a long way, Scott. 13 years of making videos.
Man I remember seeing the original on RU-vid a ton as a kid and would watch it quite a lot, insane you were the one behind it and I love the improvement (both with your own style and a much bouncier animation whilst keeping with the anime-esque mouth movement)
Back when flash stuff was repetitively a new thing I came across the old one of this. Watching you grow and bloom to what you are now been quite the trip.
@@solitaria.7773 It's not more common to learn Japanese than it is Spanish especially if you live in America. So no, plus the largest population of people from east Asia in the States are people from China.
@@Jabutimado No one needed to know this dude can speak and understand the japanese language. And yes it's a flex, it's like me saying as a black man I understand Method Man and 2pac lyrics so I have better grasp of the songs. No one needs to know that.
YOOOOO THE NOSTALGIA OMG. I remember seeing the original as a kid back in like 2009~ and thinking that it was an opening to an actual Mario anime hahah. I really loved the video and would replay it over and over and over again. It was such a huge part of my childhood.. Man time really flies.
Also funnily enough, it was the youtube recommended section that bought this video to my attention to begin with. Pretty much as soon as it was uploaded, front and center. I had no idea that you had an active youtube channel, or that you were the same guy who did the Mario Omni Man video! ....It's crazy that they knew this was a video I'd be freaking out over.. catch this sub :)
Ya know, I remember watching the original so many years ago (I think it was on Newgrounds? Maybe old RU-vid? Not sure), long before I knew of the current Scott Falco that we all know and love. When I did finally learn that it was you who did this, I was kind of blown away. I had been subscribed for about 5 or so years so it was shocking that I had already seen your work so many years back. Thank you for the good times fren.
I remember finding Scott Falco on deviant through this and some legend of Zelda works he did, specifically the koolimpah one. When I saw he was alive and doing well on RU-vid, it brought a tear to my eye. Glad to see how much you’ve grown.
It's crazy to know that you made the original, like geez I have vague memories of watching it a few years ago never would've known it was you untill you made this remake. Great job!!
The original is perfect. I prefer the proportions. If the remake were more like that but with more in between frames, maybe zoom out and give a bit of variance to Peach, it would be better. I mean, to maintain the direction of the original. I get that your style has changed and all. Both versions are cute and colourful. Thanks for this amazing comparison! It actually puts the lyrics on screen, too.
I hope in doing this side by side you saw all the time you've spent working at this 1 million and the evolution of your art. You've come a long way in more than just your subscriber count. You're a more seasoned artist and animator now and we're so happy to be here to see what comes next.
Omg! This is totally awesome, I didnt knew there was an HD version. The art has improved so much and still it keeps the same feeling! I love it. Also, does anybody know what ''K I, K I'' means? I never got the meaning at all.
I didn’t know Scott had the ability overpower you with waves of nostalgia. This was one of the first videos I found when I had first started using the internet!
I never knew you were the one who made this video till you mentioned it in a video one day. I remember seeing it on Newgrounds and really loved it. You really have come along way man. If I could I would totally sponsor you to make an animated series.
Arrrghh!! my heart is aching of full feeling of nostalgic, it bring tears of happiness and joy to your eyes, I remember watching this during Highschool TT_TT. Awesome Work Scott
Holy shit the memories, thanks for making this Scott. It's a really nice and fun animation. I must have watched the original like 500 times back in the day
