This custom Super Mario Kart hack was made by DirtbagD. It has altered tracks and is more difficult than the regular Super Mario Kart. It is well elaborated and provides a good opportunity for experienced players to kill some time. Please note: This is no speedrun, no TAS. Failed attempts are cut out. I did no start-boosts.

It is really amazing how much love was put in the details and much much got changed. For example, on one track, you have to drive into a pit, so you get carried back on track by a modified sprite of Lakitu. Quite surprising to see an old man racing in a wheelchair, too, and the music got changed as well. You can clearly see, that the creator Dirtbag spent many years creating this masterpiece of a hack. You have my guarantee that it's worth your time.
Recommended? Absolutly Yes

8:04 I added some additional music because of a copyright claim. This video couldn't be monitized and all the ad money would have gone to that perticular copyright owner. 100%. Here is why I totally disagree: The music is about 90 secs of a 3240 sec video = about 3% (rounded up) That music just supports the gameplay, the main focus is on the gameplay itself. So let's assume all the music sums up to 33% of the whole game (which is very generous): 33% of 3% -> 1% So that particular music is 1% of that video, even it was 2%, it is totally disrespectful towards a content creator to demonitize it and give all the ad revenue to that particular copyright owner. And yes, it is not unlikely, that this owner just claims without actual rights (In one of my F-Zero videos, a music got claimed by a very bad gangster rapper, even though the music was made by Nintendo). So, if 2% of the ad revenue went to that copyright owner, it would be fine, but not 100%! So I added additional music and he gets nothing. Great system!
