@@tdz3469 I really tryed that on my emulator with voicebot that's not a joke but I was playing at 50% of the speed to have the time to speak (I finished sand and after it was just boring xD)

It's just really hard to track because there are a few times where the stick is used. You would need a controller cam or input tracker to make sure its fair
I would either not count capture targets or count the amount of time spend moving instead of the number of times it is pressed, with walking counting as 10 times normal. Regardless I am having trouble looking at game footage after seeing this run as walking has became a foreign concept for me.
GamingWithSmiley if you can find new joystick (the stick, not the entire joycon) on eBay or Amazon then all you have to do is look up a RU-vid tutorial on how to replace the stick
It feels so bittersweet watching him almost effortlessly tackle moons/jumps that Ceave struggled so much with It's hilarious knowing how tedious/difficult they were in Ceave's attempt and seeing them performed effortlessly, but I also feel *so* bad for Ceave having gone through that.
@@The-Maxter During the Bowser fights where Mario uses Bowser's hat to punch him (see 13:22 and 57:31), Tanner was shaking the right joycon to roll toward Bowser (Motion controls are the most efficient way to roll, even when you can walk normally.) Because of the weird way the motion controls work, they expect you to be alternating the joycons to punch in this section, so the game thought he was punching with one hand and made the hat repeatedly punch with only the right hand. He kept doing that even when he was actually punching Bowser so it looked pretty funny. He theoretically could have spammed Y for one or both of those steps but I guess he didn't feel like it.
amazing run as always, you're so talented ! it won't be as challenging as the previous things you've done on the channel but what about a run where you cannot cap jump or anything ? you basically can only use cappy to capture and check into the odyssey... it would be fun to see you struggle not being able to use some speedrun strats haha
In cascade kingdom isn’t the wall absolutely necessary, because even though you found another way to get up there, the top hat tower also has a way to he tuo there without a frog.
i forgot moon cave existed honestly. it's been skipped in so many videos to the point where it felt like the skip was how you're supposed to get to the wedding hall
Mario actually can walk without the left stick. After a dive there is a 3 frame window where Mario has enough momentum preform a jump. Chaining these jumps together, Mario can triple jump. After Mario triple jumps, he will do a "YAH" During that 3 frame window, Mario walks.
The following week: Super Mario Odyssey but I literally can't click any buttons on the joycon, keyboard or computer *Talks to chat for 52 minutes and then throws PC out the window*
