This is absolutely insane. Not only did it go perfectly to the beat; it also got each note exactly with every bounce, they happened to be recording it, *and,* they even noticed it right away.
Yeah... not one of those notes is actually correct though. Also, the first three beats are pretty common in ping pong, you'll hear it constantly. They only had to get four more.
music theory nerd time; it hit high and low notes and made the cadence, that's what your brain recognized. the notes dont need to be right because its the cadence that's in your memory. anything approximating that rhythm that even vaguely gets where the high and low notes go will ring the Mario bell in your brain. its the same reason you can just say "when i was" and awaken every 30 year old's inner emo.
@@TheOfficialGuineaPigOfRU-vid you could see on the previous game they did the literal exact same setup but they failed the correct notes. It’s also convenient that they were recording and that one immediately knew what happened. They were obviously trying to set it up.

My favorite part about this video is that this was just two roommates recording their ping pong session, and just so happened to play the Mario theme on accident. Its a breath of fresh air.
They won’t because nintendo doesn’t do it anymore. They only took down the melee comp because it was being run on an emulator despite being the only way to play around the world.
