***** A scene from the Matrix Reloaded remade in flash with sprites from various different games. It was uploaded on Newgrounds YEARS ago, back when the site was still big. Why do you ask?
I used to wait like more than 10 minutes for this to charge to watch it all. Memorized the whole dialog thanks to this. Man back then you couldnt even have more than two tabs
Knowing how Flash / Adobe Animate works now and also knowing how small these swf files had to be back in the day, it's that much more awe inspiring the amount of effort that went into recreating this scene using all those Super Mario World sprites and even creating some specifically for this piece. Early net animations are such a blast to watch again to see the amazing things people did with the limitations they had. Kudos for the upload and for the memories.
Ahhh!!! 240p was considered quality back in the day. Now everything has to be 720p, 1080p, 4K, whatever HD is considered an approval of a good video. Seems everyone missed the point of making videos with quality. Just because the resolution is bigger, doesn't mean it's better. Same goes for feature films that are in theaters. Bigger isn't better.
MrGojira, this was originally a flash animation which has infinite quality. This youtube upload would have been seen as the inferior version even back in the day. it's actually incredibly trivial to find the 2004 original on newgrounds right now and watch it in 1080p.
That this aged so damn well only shows how much it raised the bar for sprite animation. While Newgrounds is part of most peoples childhoods here, it helped me through times of uncertainty and self-discovery in my early adult years. Thanks ever so much for preserving an important piece of internet history!
Remembered this due to recent events aka the new Matrix Movie. Glad I remembered enough to find it and that it was here to find. Awesome stuff. The little details like the Luigi and Mario sound effects that I couldn't make out much when I was a kid I hear now. Still quiet but I hear them.

I'm a huge Matrix fan. I love the fight scenes. This to me is the best fight scene of the movie. This Super Mario Reloaded is OUTSTANDING. EXCELLENT JOB!!!!!! BEAUTIFUL JOB......
this guy needs to make more i don't care about the animation that was off the charts if the get activision to make a game version of that it will be a hit
