Nintendo: “Yeah makin’ a funny rideable creature thing isn’t possible, the poor NES can’t do it!” Bootleggers: “Are you sure about that?” Let’s be honest, this is one of the few times where bootleggers have disproven a well-known game developer.
In 1985 for SMB1 yeah it may not have been possible to have a dinosaur due to smaller cartridge space and less knowledge on the NES Hardware overall. The bootleg came out in 1995, well after the NES has seen some advanced looking games for the platform.
@@bumparchive The 1995 thing reminds me that that was how long it took for mainline mega man to come out on the snes the same year as the playstation released (december in japan but still) then after the ps1 game they just go back to making ones that look like nes games again
While supermarioworld was meant to demonstrate the power of the snes,BUT then bootleggers come with their port of it to the nes to demonstrate the power of their own costumized mapper chip and nes system, and it does amezingly well as the graphics come close to that of the snes version along with detailed & colorful graphics and beind ridible on yoshi as well, now just imagine if this bootlef version just came out in 1991, the nes may would ,ve fly off store shelves as well because if people could efford a snes but still wanted to play that game they could,ve just still bought a nes along with this bootleg, also because it squeezes every megabyte of power out of the nes as well😁
The NES one is impressive, but doesn’t look so good The remastered is basically a refined, better looking version of the original bootleg game The MSX is the best one And the Genesis version looks most similar to the original
@@UNKNOWN-zf9yq That is surprising because Genesis has a faster CPU. I would figure it would play faster than the SNES version because of a faster CPU.
I think the remaster nes version should fix some mechanics like make the running speed be not too faster, but also reduce the animations frames to not have limited space and also better performance
Hey, I'm pretty sure I was one of the contributors to the hack shown at 4:44!! Specifically I made the logo on the title screen have the appropriate colours. The guy before me was the one who made the blocks look more accurate, and before that was just the hack by TheJabuu (spelling that from memory so it might be wrong). Super cool to see it featured here! :D
I like how the NES one uses the Forest of Illusion theme for the forest levels. And it’s lazy that they used Mario’s Mario 3 sprites when he has a mushroom.
Exactly. the MSX music feels like heaven to the ears after hearing the dreadful NES version for 8 minutes. (The “Remaster” didn’t even bother to improve the music, godddamn.)
The NES remaster. Is it better graphics-wise? Yes. It looks like they didn’t re-use Mario 3 sprites for big and fire flower Mario. And the title letters are fully colored. And everything looks partially better. Is it better music-wise? No. It isn’t. And for the original and remastered nes version, *why* did they use three lava bubbles that look like an arrow point for the Banzai Bills? The MSX version. It’s better than the first two versions in both accuracy, graphics, sounds, and music. The story is even somewhat on-point with the original one.
Kinda crazy how close they can all get, especially even the likes of the NES. Of course, outside of a few little visual tricks here and there, Super Mario World isn't exactly pushing the SNES to its limits--even as arguably best platform game ever brilliant as it is.
I mean, it was a really early SNES game. (1990) And the MSX music feels like heaven to the ears after hearing the dreadful NES version for 8 minutes. (The “Remaster” didn’t even bother to improve the music, godddamn.)
Msx is the best version. It has the best music out of all the bootlegs, the graphics are good, and the controls look really solid. Also is it just me or does the music sound better in this version than in the original?
Megadrive looks almost like the original but the gameplay itself is the worst of the bunch imo. Most playable is MSX, then Nes remastered. Kind of a shame there's almost no decent Mario bootlegs on Sega consoles tbh. Master System had Super Boy IV and that's about it.
Hey, do a similar video with all the bootlegs of Sonic, including that recent SNES version of Sonic that almost looks and sounds and runs identically. :D
I know the bootleg SMW for the NES is bad, but it is by far one of the best bootlegs ever made, which isn't a lot, but is already impressive. If you removed the horrible music and the slow jumps I think it could be considered a good demake.
The NES version has to be the weirdest. I mean couldn’t they just have used to graphics from Mario is Missing/Mario’s Time Machine? Also the MSX2 version reminds me of the cancelled Mario game, Super Mario’s Wacky World’s.
It's a bootleg game bro, anything is possible 😂 Check out my Super Mario Nes hacks video, you will be shocked Super Mario NES Hacks MEGA Collection Vol.2|HD|#Mario #Multiverse ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ID-UonLJc6I.html
I think I know why. The Sega mega drive/genesis has fewer colors compared to the Super Nintendo. Sega = 4 palletes use 15 colors each, that equals 60, plus the background color, 61 colors. These color palletes seem to share with sprites and background graphics all together. Super Nintendo = Roughly 240 to 255 usually. Upon first look i notice that the Goomba is blue. I think this may be because color is low, color got reused. It looks like the blue is shared with Mario and Luigi's overalls. Also I noticed the floor. Using green which looks like Luigi uses. There's other things I might be able to speculate on also lol but I hope what I said sheds some light on to that lol. I'm quite interested in stuff like this lol
@@mischiefthedegenerateratto7464 Homebrew to me is brand new game with original levels and story. However they pretty much just ported over SMW to MSX. That to me is a bootleg.
Super Mario World NES Remastered would be a good sample of just a bit of what super mario world is like. Try giving it to a friend who's hesitant because it's "Too old". Just specify that it was originally an snes title, and that the snes version will be WAY better. Yeah, the Hummer Team's is garbage.
