The whole soundtrack. I... y'know if there's any vid of yours to blow up, I _really_ hope it's this one. This must've taken a _lot_ of time to do and I know for a fact from previous works that it'll deserve nothing less.
Now 16-bit is pretty great and all, but 8-bit era soundtracks have their own charm and appeal and DUDE this transposed version of the Super Metroid soundtrack is absolutely badass. It pays so much respect to the original soundtrack while also showing off the 8-bit style. Absolutely phenomenal. Brilliant work!
Eh i still prefer 16-bit. I know 8-bit has a huge cult factor and i also love it to death, but i also think 16-bit is under-appreciated in the retro community for whatever reason. 8-bit remixes are everywhere, but 16-bit is rare...
As a Metroid music and chiptune purist I had my doubts at first, especially when I heard there was something different going on compared to usual NES renditions. However, there was a legit technical explanation for what I heard and eventually the album turned out to be quite loyal to both chiptune and Super Metroid in my ears. Those little satisfying things like chord arpeggios in Green Brinstar is what make good 8-bit arrangements shine. Thanks for well thought out interpretation!
I love this a lot, its not under, nor overdone. Its perfect. I also love how well done the ambient themes are done, especially the upper Norfair theme. Awesome work dude.

@morganpaulree557 No, super metroid(even with graphical decreases) just would not be able to run on the NES. Its just too big and balanced around vertical aiming
Amazing work loedman. There's a lot to talk about here, but i'll start by pointing out that I really like how you did those bubbly noises in Tourian. Ridley's theme is probably my favorite. You also did a really good job with the album art!
This is fantastic. The original soundtrack is already a masterpiece and these covers clearly recognized this by not adding or taking away much from the original. All the while coming off as mysterious and ominous as the first time we heard it. Excellent work!

That Brinstar track makes me want to play Super Metroid again right now! With no offense to Mr. Yamamoto and Hamano, I might need to play that area with this version. And maybe the Samus warrior theme when I get to that part too. But that’s it, I promise!
This had me hooked at the title theme!! Super Metroid has such a banger soundtrack, it could never sound bad! I appreciate you remixing the whole ost and not just one or two songs like a lot of other people do. Definitely gonna come back and listen to this to get hyped for more metroid after the prime 4 trailer dropped today!
This was absolutely amazing! It had toons like the tourian theme come straight from the mouths of the dead, and crateria's surface toon is as bombastic as ever! Of course, my favorite is still lower Norfair, but I think the original is the best video game music ever, so I mean I might be bias there, but through beginning to end it was a faithful rendition of the tunes, perfectly blending the heart and sound of retro music with the "I am perfect in every way and I can back up too" nature of Super Metroid (the greatest game ever). A huge prop to you Loeder, this is a mastery of music.

Great job on this for sure. :) As I was listening to this while playing other games on my computer, I kept imagining in my mind what a 8-bit version of Super Metroid might look like. I have very fond memories of my older brother and I playing this on the SNES armed with the handy dandy strategy guide.

Tourian is where I’ve always gave up any time I ever considered covering the OST. Just trying to cover Zero Mission’s version was difficult. I very much liked this. Trying to emulate atmosphere with Famitracker is...not easy, and I saw some good justice here.
Just fantastic! Easily the greatest Metroid game and one of the greatest games of all time to this day. Super Metroid was Samus Aran at her absolute most powerful and finest.
This is quite possibly the best remix of the soundtrack I've ever heard. You didn't even do just a couple of the songs either, you went and did the ENTIRE OST. Serious respect. Great job on this!

This album is so SO good. Outta been so long since I played SM that for some of these songs may have been the originals for how hard you nail them. 10/10 would buy as an LP for 29.99 at TAZ records
This is truly amazing, I found your Artaria cover and afterwards I've been listening to your channel and man, I'm at a loss for words... I don't even know how is it that you have so little views, you deserve, many, many more. I'm not one to do things like this but I had an idea, the Nemesis the Warlock's theme for the C64 game is one of my favorite chiptune pieces of all time, I thought that it would be awesome if you could do an 8-bit rendition of that theme. Your style is amazingly clean and it would fit perfectly! Just a suggestion though! Thanks for your amazing music!

Massive respect for all of the hard work put into this 💗 Simply amazing! Part of what makes Super Metroid so good is it's haunting soundtrack which is presented beautifully here. I only wish Nintendo would celebrate this series as much as the fans do.
I rarely, if ever, post on RU-vid...but I was so damn captivated by your work that I was compelled to say thank you. This took me to some alternate universe where Metroid 3 was an NES title, and Super Metroid never was. Excellent work replicating the SM music in the restricted 8-bit format. Bravo!

Very excited to listen to this. I wanted to cover this soundtrack myself at one point but I have a feeling I won't feel the need to after this. I love cover albums and getting one of one of my favorite games of all time from a fantastic cover artist is just fantastic

This is beautiful. The Ending one especially but they all capture the tone and feel of the original compositions. I'd be curious to find out which one was the most difficult to re-compose into Famicom.
Great question! I initally expected that either Norfair was going to be the hardest, since it's not very melodic and uses lot's of low frequencies. However, I think the Tourian theme was the hardest, since I had to figure out how to replicate those bubble sounds without making it annoying or repetitive to listen to.
This is really sick, major props, also I love what you did for the aesthetic of the video, I hope you do similar stuff in the future, maybe if you get hooked with another soundtrack lol.
I always love your stuff man, it definitely makes me happy when I hear these sort of things super metroid is one of my favourite games and osts of all time, I think lower norfair is one of the most greatest songs in metroid for not only how cool it is, but how many different genres it gets remixed into, "theme of samus" is also one of my favourites in the whole series, it just makes me so much happy, well done
